Teaching your dogs to be obedient is fundamental and all - but doing that while also doing things that enables their natural senses, fulfills their genetic traits and encourages drive… that’s where the real magic happens. To the eye Charlie looks like your average dog, but he’s a lot of dog at that, goes a million miles an hour and has a lot to give. I love working with this dog, but it’s taken me years to learn how to do it correctly and our journey along the way hasn’t been short or easy. To add to it, he unexpectedly slipped a disc and partially tore a cruciate earlier this year. There was a lot of uncertainty about his future in the beginning, but after a lot of rehab, we’re back on track to doing the things we love which included a four day weekend of tracking recently. We finished with 11/12 successful tracks and I was stoked to see him doing what he does best. Oh, and would you believe he just turned 10? Doesn’t look a day over 4 if I say so myself!

Public consultation on the Auckland Dog Mangement Bylaw opens tomorrow!

We have 4 weeks to make submissions. This is where the real work begins!

Once we have had a chance to see the submission process, we will send out information on how to submit and some templates to help.

The more people that submit opposing the propsed limit the better. Tell your friends, family and clients.

Auckland Council is proposing harsh and blanket regulations for all dog owners and the dog walking industry without talking to the very people these rules will impact most - professional dog walkers. The proposed rules would limit any dog walker, professional or not, to handling a maximum of 6 dogs with only 3 allowed off-leash at a time.

Hello 2025 👋

We’ve been a bit quiet on socials, 2024 was one crazy year and a tonne of adventures were had. Somehow each year just seems to get busier and undoubtedly this time next year I’m sure we’ll be saying the same thing! We’re working on a few new services in the background over the coming few months and some exciting things being introduced this year. In addition, our books are now open for new clients on Mondays & Thursdays with a small amount of spaces available - so if you’ve been hanging out for a spot in our packs, now is the time to get in touch as they won’t last long. We’re back in full swing for the new year now and had a beautiful morning for our first pack walk back for the year.
