Our raw chicken range includes minced chicken with bone, raw chicken necks, chicken liver, and mixed-protein blends combining chicken with salmon or wild rabbit.

🐔 Chicken with Bone – minced raw chicken containing meat and bone. It is an easy way to include both animal protein and a natural bone component in your dog's raw diet.

Hello! 👋

We’ve had so many new faces around here lately, and I’m honestly a little mind-blown by how much our community has grown.

So I thought it was probably time I got my A into G and properly said HI!

I’m Zoe, owner of The Raw Dog Food Co., and pictured with me is one of my Boxer dogs, Roxanne. 🐾

Along with my husband Jason and our daughter Maiya, we are the family behind The Raw Dog Food Co., based in South Auckland and delivering raw dog food right across New Zealand.

The funny thing is, this wasn’t really a business we ever planned to start.

It all began because of our own dogs.

After dealing with some major food issues with one of them, I became increasingly interested in what we were actually feeding our dogs, where it came from, and how much of a difference nutrition could make.

What started as trying to help our own dogs gradually grew into a business built around helping other people with theirs.

Today, our mission is still pretty simple:

To provide New Zealand dogs with premium-quality, natural raw food and to help owners navigate food sensitivities, allergies and feeding challenges with confidence.

We’re big believers in “as nature intended” and the idea that “you are what you eat” applies to our pets too.

One of our biggest focuses is single-protein raw food.

A huge number of the dogs we work with have allergies or food sensitivities, so rather than hiding lots of different proteins inside complicated blends, we give owners the ability to know exactly what they’re feeding.

From everyday proteins through to harder-to-find options like wild and novel proteins, we try to have something for just about every dog.

And when I’m not working?

There’s a pretty good chance I’m doing something involving dogs anyway. 😂

Dog training, walking dogs, learning more about canine nutrition, and more recently spending my weekends learning the art of dog showing and ringcraft.

Yes! A properly sourced and handled possum product can be fed as part of a raw diet. It is a distinctly New Zealand 🇳🇿 option, and it may also be a novel protein for a dog that has not eaten possum before.
