🐾 CELEBRITY PET OF THE WEEK — TOM BRADY & JUNIE 🐾
This week’s celebrity pet story is a pretty incredible one — and definitely a little different!
Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady recently revealed that his dog Junie is a genetic clone of his beloved late dog, Lua, a pit bull mix who was part of the Brady family for many years. Lua passed away in December 2023.
Before Lua passed, a blood sample was collected and later used in the cloning process. Brady has described Junie as giving the family a kind of “second chance” with a much-loved companion. ❤️
Of course, a clone isn’t quite the same as getting the exact same dog back. While Junie shares Lua’s genetics, things like personality, behaviour and even some physical characteristics can still be influenced by life experiences and environment.
Lua herself had quite the public profile too, appearing regularly on Brady’s social media and even alongside him in advertising during his football career.
It certainly raises an interesting question for pet lovers…
