Keysar Rescue is a not-for-profit animal rescue organisation dedicated to providing a safe haven for homeless and rescued dogs and puppies until we can find them responsible, loving homes. We believe that all pets should be treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. We believe in showing compassion and working to rehabilitate abused and abandoned pets. At Keysar Rescue we educate people and our communities about the importance of these principals as well as the importance of spaying and neutering to reduce the number of abandoned pets. We rely strenuously on donations & support from the Community so we can continue our work to keep on moving & saving the forgotten. 🚨🆘 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗔𝗠 — 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗪𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗚𝗜𝗥𝗟 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪? 😔💔

Another dog. Another desperate situation. Another innocent soul who has absolutely NO idea that her whole world is about to change and sadly this is another girl we CANNOT post photos of for safety reasons. She's estimated to be around 6 years old and despite everything happening around her she's still one of the sweetest, most forgiving souls 😔.
Her current surroundings are filled with DRUGS, chaos and people who have no business having animals in their care.
But here's what breaks my heart...
Despite the environment she's living in, she hasn't given up on people. She's still approachable. Still gentle. Still willing to trust a human hand. Some beautiful neighbours have been quietly feeding her, making sure she doesn't go hungry. Thanks to them, she's actually in pretty good condition.
Those neighbours have been her little bit of hope in a world that's given her very little. But they can no longer help her and now we're racing against time.

💔 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗥𝗢𝗪 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚, 𝗦𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗗𝗨𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗚𝗢 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗. Fam, you know how FULL we are here. We're bursting at the seams and the dogs just keep coming. But I cannot sit here knowing there's a sweet, forgiving girl out there who needs us and not at least TRY. 𝐈 𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐑 — 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐈𝐅 𝐖𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐀 𝐅𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓. That's literally all that's standing between her and a chance at a completely different life. She doesn't need a mansion. She doesn't need expensive things. She just needs a safe place to sleep, someone kind to love her and a chance to understand that not all humans will let her down.

𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗙𝗔𝗠, 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗪𝗘 𝗣𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗟𝗘? 😭🙏

I know I keep asking. I know we're all exhausted. Believe me, I feel it too. But how do you explain to a dog that nobody has room for her? How do you walk away from a girl who's still wagging her tail at the very people who have failed her?

She's spent nearly six years on this earth. Surely the next chapter of her life deserves to be a beautiful one. We will provide supplies, support and cover her medical needs. All we need is a safe loving home to spend her very first 'kind' Christmas, surrounded by loving people.

You go out and rescue 3 dogs and for a brief moment, you feel like you've made a difference.

But then *in your head* you turn to your left and there are dogs screaming for help. You turn to your right and there are more dogs being dumped, abandoned & forgotten.
You look straight ahead, and there are hundreds upon hundreds of sad, frightened faces all waiting for someone to notice them. All hoping someone will come. Then suddenly, saving 3 dogs doesn't feel like enough.

But here's the thing...

I am ONE person. I cannot be everywhere. I cannot save them all, no matter how desperately I wish I could. Behind Rescue is exhaustion, heartbreak, sleepless nights, financial pressure and the unbearable guilt of knowing there are still so many waiting. I don't need reminding of the dogs I haven't reached. Believe me, they are already on my mind. So please, before you judge, criticise, demand or question why I haven't helped another dog...

BE NICE. If I've been slow at replying back or there's radio silence on the page - guess what? I'm out on the road and I am the admin.

I'm doing everything I can with what I have and some days, even that takes everything out of me. I may not be able to save them all, but I'll never stop trying to save the ones I can.

[The dog pictured below was surrendered into our care by a family member after his owner chose to leave him outside to ROT! Owner has a history of violence/in & out of jail so for safety reasons we cannot show this boys face. He isn't registered or chipped. Some might call it theft. Well I call it DOING THE BLOODY RIGHT THING!
You either turn your back and pretend you didn't see a thing or you do something about it. He did p**p everywhere in the back of the ute though 😫. It took courage for the Owners family to come forward when violence is involved]. ☝️

🚨🐾 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗘𝗦 & 𝗞𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗡 — 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗔 𝗧𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣! 🐾🚨

Remember the two malnourished 4-month-old pups dumped at Otara Park?

Well, they're doing incredibly well! 🥹 But as always in Rescue, there's a little word that seems to follow every happy update...

BUT... 😩

𝙻𝚎𝚝 𝚖𝚎 𝚝𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚋𝚊𝚌𝚔 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚍𝚊𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚠𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍.

An awesome bloke was out walking his dogs when he spotted something in the distance. From afar he hoped it was just a blanket or some card board rubbish. Because deep down, he knew that if it turned out to be a dog, there was absolutely NO WAY he could just drive away.

As he got closer, his heart sank.

There, lying on the pavement, was a brown ribby pup. Weak, hungry, thirsty & barely showing any energy.

He quickly secured his own dogs in the back of his vehicle and just as he was figuring out what to do next...

ANOTHER BROWN PUPPY CAME DASHING OUT FROM THE CORNER!

[His brother]!

He probably thought, "Righdo... OK. We have a problem. There's TWO of you!" 😆

He searched the surrounding area to make sure there weren't any more puppies hiding.

Nothing.

So instead of standing there wondering whether he should get involved, he made a decision.

"If these were my dogs, and a stranger found them, I'd want that stranger to do everything possible to keep them safe."

And THAT, my friends, is exactly what he did ❤️.

Now here's where things get a little complicated.

This beautiful human already has THREE much-loved dogs of his own, along with a couple of cats he absolutely adores.

But guess what? .....
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HIS PETS IS A RESCUE. OFF THE STREETS 🥹!

But since taking in these two little fellas, his own animals have been getting less and less time with their Dad.

Not because he loves them any less, but because he's been stretching himself thin trying to give "EVERYONE" the love, care and attention they deserve.

His home isn't big. In fact, he's had to squeeze the twins into whatever space he could make available.

And these two? .....
Well, they're currently known as THE TWINS 😍

Where one goes, the other follows.

Where one eats, the other eats.

Where one sleeps, the other curls up right beside him.

(They do absolutely EVERYTHING together!)

Now you're probably thinking, "Why not just separate them, train them individually and get them used to being apart?"

Believe me, we understand the importance of helping puppies develop independence. But right now, their rescuer simply doesn't have the space or setup to work on that properly.

His own dogs have seen the twins through the glass doors and windows, but there's been no real excitement or interaction between them.

Despite everything, look at what this wonderful man has already achieved!

🐾 THE TWINS PROGRESS 🐾!

✅ Both are now HOUSE TRAINED!

✅ Learning basic commands — SIT, WAIT and EAT!

✅ First vaccination cycle completed via us!

✅ Both MICROCHIPPED via us!

✅ Beautifully behaved at the vet clinic!

✅ Desexing is arranged!

✅ Both are growing stronger, healthier and happier!

And most importantly...

THEY ARE SAFE. THEY ARE FED. THEY ARE LOVED ❤️.

But this amazing man has done more than enough and now it's OUR TURN to help HIM.

We're desperately looking for ONE FOSTER HOME willing to take both boys or TWO SEPARATE FOSTER HOMES that can give each pup the individual attention, training and confidence he needs.

Of course, keeping them together would be wonderful, but we also understand that finding one home for two growing pups isn't easy.

Plus we'd love for their rescuer's own dogs and cats to finally have their awesome Dad back 🥹!

Imagine if he'd simply turned around and driven away that day.

These boys could have ended up in the pound, still wandering around hungry and frightened or worse, fallen into the wrong hands.

But one stranger decided their lives mattered.

𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐍'𝐓 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐖𝐎 𝐏𝐔𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐄𝐒. 𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌 𝐀 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄.

Now we need someone to help carry that kindness forward.

We will continue providing their supplies & arranging their vet appts while we work towards finding their forever homes.

Remember that little pup who was dumped out in Belmont few weeks ago and one of our amazing fosters quickly jumped in to save him — then by DAY TWO he already had a name… Charlie.

Wellllll… we probably should've seen this coming 🤭.

While we're a couple of months before Christmas, Charlie has officially pulled off one of our favourite kinds of endings…

He came in needing somewhere safe to land and somehow managed to make that temporary home his FOREVER HOME.
..and like we said from the beginning...

Our beautiful little Poppy has fully recovered from surgery! What a wee fighter she is! This little girl took on desexing AND her cherry eye procedure all in one hit — and she has absolutely smashed her recovery. 💪 ..... and now we can finally say...

𝗜𝗧’𝗦 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 — 𝗣𝗢𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗗!

Her paperwork has been completed, her registration signed over and our little girl is officially home with her new Mum & Dad 🥹. She's gone straight into a beautiful, loving home with parents who have shown her nothing but patience, kindness and love from day one.

❤️ 𝘽𝙐𝙈𝘽𝙇𝙀 𝙃𝘼𝙎 𝙃𝘼𝘿 𝙀𝙉𝙊𝙐𝙂𝙃 𝙏𝙀𝙈𝙋𝙊𝙍𝘼𝙍𝙔 𝘼𝘿𝘿𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙀𝙎 — 𝙎𝙃𝙀 𝙉𝙀𝙀𝘿𝙎 𝘼 𝙁𝙊𝙍𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝙊𝙉𝙀! ❤️

This is our beautiful, sweet and ever-so-patient girl Bumble. Born September 2025 she’s just turned the big ONE!

Bumble is the last of her litter still waiting. All her siblings have found their forever homes, while this poor girl has been moved around far too many times.

She’s been through 2 foster homes — plus 2 months back with me — and sadly 3 adopted homes that didn’t work out, through absolutely NO fault of her own.

𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 #𝟭 — Bumble chased running chickens.
𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 #𝟮 — She got into the sheep area without permission.
𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 #𝟯 — Their young son developed allergies.

Thats it! No bad dog, aggression or horror story! But every one of those family's loved her to bits and treated her beautifully, but once again... Bumble had to pack her little imaginary suitcase and move on 💔

I think she’s had enough temporary addresses.

Bumble needs a HOME. A real one. A permanent one. One where she can finally unpack that suitcase and know she’s staying 🥹.

At this point, she probably walks into a new house thinking:

"Right... where’s my bed, which couch is mine, and what’s to eat?" 😂

Bumble is incredibly adaptable and can live with dogs, cats and children. She’s lovable, intelligent, food-driven and very trainable. She has great recall, listens beautifully, loves car rides, sleeps right through the night and is fully house and crate trained.

Although, let's be clear... she’s pretty much outgrown the crate life and would much rather be stretched across your couch or curled up on your bed 🫣🤭

She’s now enjoying life in a wonderful foster home with Dianne and having the time of her life — but there are always more dogs waiting for us to save and Bumble deserves for this next move to be her LAST MOVE.

She’s one of those special dogs who will eventually have someone looking at her thinking...

“Ummm... where have you been all my life?” 🥹

Beautiful Papi is ready to find his forever family!
This boy absolutely LOVES other dogs — his favourite place is the dog park where he can run, play and make new friends. He would be a wonderful fit for a home with another dog to keep him company. Papi is an active boy who loves walks, running free in safe spaces, adventures & car rides with the wind in his face!

He is still 'a wee bit' timid around new people, so he needs a calm, patient family who will allow him to build trust at his own pace. Once you're his person, expect the BIGGEST zoomies when you come home! He's brilliant with children & also a great little watch dog and will happily let you know when someone's coming through the gate!

Remember the senior dog we tried to find a good foster or permanent home for? Well, before that miracle even happened, she was in emergency-hold with our awesome Mayolean who showed her what kinds hands felt like and sleeping indoors on a comfy bed next to a human looked like. 7 yrs too long on a chain, she's finally settling in her VERY FIRST Foster Home. But just look at what she could've missed out on. The luxury of adventures, beach, sand, water, walkies, people, love and the rest of it..! Big thanks to Mike!

To the people that left her behind WHILE STILL chained. The least you could've done was build her a quick shelter and taken her off the chain if you didn't have the guts to call for help or dropped her to your nearest shelter. You could've at least got a family member to reach out on social media for help. But no.... you.... just.... didn't..... care. YOUR TRASH OUR TREASURE BUDDY.

I’ve been in a dark place these past couple of days and I know there will be big waves of grief that'll hit me out of nowhere — on the most random days at the most craziest times.

But somehow, through that darkness I felt my boy Wh***ey pull me back up and whispered (in 🦁 Mufasa's voice).

𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐔𝐏.
𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐌𝐘 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐒𝐍’𝐓 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐁𝐈𝐆𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐍 🕊️.

So here I am. Back up. Still hurting. Still grieving my boy. But remembering why this mission began and why it has to continue and right now, this beautiful boy needs us.

He was left behind, defeated & battered.

We have footage showing the beatings he endured by previous Owners and heresay with other dogs on the property fighting him while he was tied up. We will NOT be posting it publicly. Neighbours tried to help but couldn’t get close to him. That footage will be handed directly to the appropriate authorities.

For now, our focus is HIM — his safety, his healing and showing him that human hands can also bring comfort, kindness and love.

He is currently in 24HR foster care, however once he is medically ready, he is going to need a very special FOSTER HOME.

We need someone with time, patience & a gentle heart. Someone who understands that a dog who has been failed by humans may need time before he learns that he is finally safe.

Please help us find that person or Family.

Share him. Talk about him. Help us give this boy the second chance he should have had all along. He has no name yet - but he's gone with pain relief and bulk of supplies. Thankyou Brad for taking him in 💪.

15 weeks ago this girl was forgotten and chained at the back of a farm.

Neglected. No proper food. Her only water was a bucket filled with green slime and fungus. With slug bait scattered around the property, I was honestly surprised she had survived especially through all that rain and thunder.

She was checked over more than once by our vet and put on medication, supplements and proper nutritional food. A couple of weeks later she was desexed and ready for the next chapter of her life.

She went into a foster home that soon labelled her "aggressive" and I was even told that the SPCA should be called to have her put down.

I drove over immediately and collected her. She showed me ZERO aggression.

Dogs are smart. A traumatised dog doesn't need someone expecting perfection overnight. They need patience, understanding, boundaries, consistency and TIME. If you tell a Rescue you have extensive dog-handling experience, then that experience needs to show when things aren't easy.

I knew this girl. I knew what she'd survived and I wasn't giving up on her.

So we tried again.

She was placed with another foster family who gave her everything we had asked for — patience, structure, kindness, security and the opportunity to finally understand what being loved felt like.
... and now?

SHE'S A FOSTER FAIL! 🥹

Not just any foster fail either — one of the BEST happy endings we could have hoped for.

Every dog deserves a second chance.

There are times in Rescue when we have to make incredibly difficult decisions, but this girl wasn't finished. She was terrified, traumatised and close to being completely broken — but there was still something inside her worth fighting for.

So we pulled her out of that darkness HARD AND FAST 💪.

(But look at her now).

Go well, Farm Girl.

Every frightened bone in your body, every moment we fought for you, every sleepless thought & every second chance.

You were worth ALL OF IT.

From chained and forgotten... to chosen, loved and 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘.
