I don't usually ask for anything in return for running the SIFFS but I could do with some help now.
My own small business - 'Equine Mementos' has been named as a Finalist in the 2026 Gallagher & South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce Business & Community Excellence Awards.
This is a win already - 115 entries and it was narrowed down to 32 finalists.
BUT there is one more award that is not judged by a panel. The winner is decided on by you - the public.
Equine Mementos is one of the smallest businesses to have made the finals so the People's Choice Award is going to be exceptionally tough to win against those much bigger companies who have a lot bigger resource pools available to them.
I am asking that our wonderful horse community pulls together and make it work for all small businesses and show we can do it and that we are strong together.
