Hi guys! 👋

Just a quick update — we now have Pay in Store at Country Clips! 🐾

All you’ll need is your banking app on your phone, so please bring your phone with you to your appointment.

You can pay beforehand or after your dog’s grooming. If you pay beforehand and there are any extra charges added to the final price, you’ll just need to top up the difference when you collect your dog.

Thanks so much! 😊

Country Clips Future Booking Applications 🐾

Send this to a friend who may like to apply.

Over the years, I’ve had so many lovely people contact me — sometimes multiple times — asking if I have space available and really wanting to come to Country Clips. ❤️

Because I’m often booked well in advance, I’ve decided to create an application form for future bookings.

You can find the application form on the Country Clips website. Simply copy and paste the completed application into an email and send it through to me.

📸 Please include a photo of your dog with your application. This allows me to tune into your dog and get a feel for where they are at, as well as keeping all of their information together in a safe place for when a space becomes available in the future.

This application is not for immediate bookings — it is a way for me to keep your details on file for those who would love to come to Country Clips in the future.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and continued interest in Country Clips. It means a lot to me! 🐶💗

Jax, he is a Miniature Schnauzer, and he's absolutely gorgeous.

Today I worked with him using Contact Care and released a small area of tension that felt locked in his body. I also focused on rebalancing his energy after he'd been to the vet with his Schnauzer sister. Experiences like that can sometimes leave dogs feeling a little unsettled or out of balance, and it can show up as subtle changes in their personality or behaviour.

I've found it's almost like I get a gentle tap on the shoulder when a dog is feeling "off." I tune into what I'm sensing and determine whether it feels like a physical health concern that needs immediate attention, or whether it's more of a mental or emotional imbalance. From there, I tailor my approach to support what the dog needs most.

This is Gus 🤍
Gus recently lost his canine companion, and today I supported him with one of my favourite modalities—magnetic healing.
Energy healing is a gentle way to support balance and wellbeing, and if you've ever been curious, I encourage you to experience it for yourself. There are so many wonderful practitioners out there, each offering their own unique approach.
Alongside dog grooming, I also work with people through Innate Energy, and I'll be sharing more about these beautiful healing modalities on my page. ✨

One of the biggest misconceptions I see as a groomer is that if a dog struggles during grooming, it must be the groomer’s fault.

The truth is, a lot of the time it comes down to what’s happening (or not happening) at home.

For many dogs, being groomed once every 4–8 weeks is a huge, unfamiliar experience. New environment, different person, strange noises, handling they’re not used to—it can feel overwhelming if they haven’t been prepared for it.

Confidence in grooming starts long before they step into the salon.

Simple things make a huge difference:
• Regular brushing and handling at home
• Bathing your dog yourself occasionally
• Introducing blow drying (this is a big one!)
• Getting them used to being touched on paws, face, and body
• Keeping a consistent groomer instead of switching frequently

Dogs that are gently trained and exposed to grooming from a young age often grow into calm, easy-to-handle adults. It’s not about perfection—it’s about familiarity and trust.

If you’ve ever had feedback that your dog finds grooming stressful, a really helpful exercise is to try a full bath and blow dry at home the way a groomer would. It can be a real eye-opener and helps you understand what your dog is experiencing—and where you can support them more.

At the end of the day, grooming is something most dogs will need for life. Putting a bit of time into building those positive routines early on makes it so much easier (and calmer) for everyone involved 🐾

✨ Friendly Grooming Reminder – 2 Days Before Your Appointment ✨

Your 2-day reminder is the perfect time to do a quick check before your dog’s grooming appointment 🐾

Please remember at the time of booking to tick the option to receive both email and SMS reminders. If these are not selected, reminders may not come through.

Please also add your appointment to your own calendar, as your booking is your responsibility to remember.

Please check for:
🦟 Signs of fleas – excessive scratching, biting, small black flea dirt, or visible fleas in the coat. If needed, please do a flea wash the night before your appointment.

🤒 Signs your dog may be unwell – coughing, vomiting, diarrhoea, low energy, or anything contagious. If your dog is sick, please contact us to reschedule.

🚗 Transport plans – make sure pick-up and drop-off is arranged, especially if someone else is bringing your dog.

💳 Payment prep – if you’re someone who tends to forget, sorting payment the day before can make appointment day much smoother.

Please note: No-shows are charged at full groom price to cover my time. I understand life happens, but having my time covered makes things work much better for everyone.

As winter comes in, please choose grooming styles that suit your dog’s lifestyle. The longest possible groom isn’t always the best option for every dog, home, or weather condition.

A little preparation helps your dog have a safer, happier, and smoother grooming experience 💛

Thank you for helping us keep all our furry clients comfortable and flea-free 🐶
