HOTSPOTS👇

Dog hot spots tend to be more common during summer/spring days when humidity is high.
Also known as acute moist dermatitis.

👀 Triggers there are many but to name a few

🚨 Allergies - environmental and food
🪲 Insect bites - flea and tick
🪮 Matted fur - matted hair traps the moisture
🚿 To much moisture - swimming or walking in the rain and then not drying out
💨 Behavioural - excessive licking

These are only a few examples.

I generally shave the scabby/inflammed area to let the air get to the scab this will dry it out and if it requires treatment at home it will be easier for you to do so.

This is only my experience I am not a vet, but thought this could be a suitable clip to bring awareness. 💭
