This wee darling came in from Waiuku Colony CATS Rescue Inc needing a transformation. She was heavily matted under an up the sides so we opted to take the whole lot off for her to start again. She is in the best place for the utmost care 😍

I’ve been asked quite a bit recently if I can work on dogs. Well i can and I think we are organising a day in south Auckland where I will do a dog clinic. It’s something I have spoke with doing in conjunction with ALH Clipping Services.

In the meantime my neighbours dog has an injury and I’ve been happy to jump in and help as surgery isn’t an option. She has been to the vet and has been diagnosed with a tear to what would be her Achilles tendon. Luckily it’s only a partial tear.

We have used PEMF to accelerate healing and tape to support the tendon and hock joint.

As you can imagine a working dog is hard to work with and keep contained. We have noticed after 1 session she is weight bearing more. For her second session she was much more relaxed for me to work with and I could pulse her leg for twice as long!!

The pictures below show the strapping I applied on Tuesday and I am personally amazed at how well it has stuck. This week has been very wet and the tape has held amazingly!!

Leo up on the table this afternoon, very high anxiety this old fella. He use to be hand stripped for most his life now his mum would rather the no fuss treatment of Clipping him. 👌
