It's not often that matriarch Emma gets out of first gear! At 20yrs old, she struggles with painful joint issues. Always nice to see her feeling good enough to have a little hoon with the babies though 🥰

Received a very cool update from the new owner of Memphis (Bay c**t we foaled for his owner, out of Minnie and by Marmalade).
He's settled into his new home incredibly well, and made lots of friends 🥰

His new mum Bridget writes...

'I just cannot believe his nature and how calm and grounded he is. My vet met him today and couldn’t believe how chill he is! He’s slotted into my family so perfectly and I’m so excited to see how he grows up, I’d been looking for a weanling for a long time but none quite felt right until I met Memphis, he’s just perfect!
It’s so exciting to have a baby from such thought out, and considerate breeding.
I will definitely keep you updated, I’m so excited to see how he grows up!! I love how he’s put together and he’s got the brain to match'

We couldn't be happier for Bridget and lovely Memphis. It's the best feeling when babies get such great homes, where they'll be loved and cared for long term 🥰

Weaning time for beautiful Florence. She's been an absolute star! 🥰
Big girl Grace has adopted her, and they look like another mare and foal combo in the paddock 😅
We wean our babies gradually. They stay in the herd with their friends, and mum is moved into the nextdoor paddock. This let's them get used to not having a milk feed, while still having the support of their mum just over the fence. Then after a few days, we move mum over the other side of the farm. This method works for us, and is by far the least stressful for both the mares and foals.
Florence didn't even call out when Willow moved away up the hill today, she's completely settled ❤️
