Palladium en Renvyle International maken indruk in Blauwhuis

Vandaag, 22 augustus, was de vierde editie van het prachtige concours van Blauwhuis en stal Huckriede wist hier maar liefst viermaal de ereronde aan te voeren.

In de derde wedstrijd van de Westfort hengstencompetitie reed Lambertus Huckriede de vos hengst Palladium (v. Hubert VDM) gedecideerd en overtuigend naar de overwinning.

De hengst had er zichtbaar zin in en klom er geweldig in. Vanuit een sterk ondertredende en zakkende achterhand kon de hengst rijzen in de voorhand die hoog en ruim grijpende werd weggezet. Het plaatje werd compleet met zijn mooie zelfhouding en aansprekende hoofd.

Ook Renvyle International (v. Ditisem) van Frank Fitzpatrick was in vorm en won met Lambertus de sterke en kwaliteitsvolle nationale ereklasse. De vos pakte vele bodem en walste met ruime passen naar de overwinning.

In het dameskampioenschap moest Anneke Borkent met vijfvoudig kampioen Renvyle Imondro (v. Cizandro) van ook Frank Fitzpatrick, de titel inleveren en werd na een sterk optreden derde.

Met Luddington Hi Five (v. Westbourne Hi Tech) van de gebroeders Rast had Anneke meer succes. Zij won zowel de ereklasse kleine maat als de damesklasse. De hengst ging actievol en voor en achter hoog van de vloer.

Met Luddington Mainstream (v. Westbourne Hi Tech) behaalde Anneke een tweede plaats na tussen komt van de arbiter!

Palladium and Renvyle International Impress in Blauwhuis

Today was the fourth edition of the beautiful Blauwhuis competition, and the Huckriede stable managed to lead the victory lap no less than four times.

In the third competition of the Westfort stallion competition, Lambertus Huckriede rode the chestnut stallion Palladium (by Hubert VDM) decisively and convincingly to victory. The stallion was visibly in the mood and performed brilliantly. From a strong, understepping, and sinking hindquarters, the stallion was able to rise into the forehand, which was set out high and with a wide reach. The picture was completed by his beautiful self-carriage and appealing head.

Frank Fitzpatrick's Renvyle International (by Ditisem) was also in form and won the strong and high-quality national honor class with Lambertus. The chestnut covered a lot of ground and steamrolled to victory with wide strides.

In the Ladies' Championship, Anneke Borkent, riding five-time champion Renvyle Imondro (by Cizandro), also owned by Frank Fitzpatrick, had to relinquish the title and finished third after a strong performance.

Anneke had more success with Luddington Hi Five (by Westbourne Hi Tech) owned by the Rast brothers.
She won both the small size honor class and the Ladies' class. The stallion moved with great action and was high off the ground both front and back.

With Luddington Mainstream (by Westbourne Hi Tech), Anneke achieved a second place after the referee intervened!

Renvyle Imondro reserve-kampioen

In Oldebroek werd vandaag, 15 augustus, het ereklasse kampioenschap van de regio’s Midden West en Zuid verreden.

Kevin Huckriede was titelverdediger met Renvyle Imondro (v. Cizandro) van Frank Fitzpatrick.

Hoewel Imondro een sterke en actievolle wedstrijd liep moest hij de titel inleveren. Het werd na een spannende finale de tweede plaats en daarmee het reserve-kampioenschap.

Ook bij de Hackney’s behaalde Kevin een tweede plaats met Heartland Don’t Blame Me (v. Heartland Moonshadow) in de limietklasse.

Renvyle Imondro Reserve Champion

The regional championship of Central West and South was held today in Oldebroek.

Kevin Huckriede was the defending champion with Renvyle Imondro (by Cizandro), owned by Frank Fitzpatrick.

Although Imondro performed a strong and action-packed competition, he had to relinquish the title. After an exciting final, he finished in second place and thus secured the reserve championship.

Kevin also achieved a second place among the Hackneys with Heartland Don’t Blame Me (by Heartland Moonshadow) in the limit class.

Prachtige fokkerij resultaten op Nationale Tuigpaarden Dag

Bij de nationale merrie keuring, zaterdag 8 augustus jl. in Lunteren waren er mooie resultaten voor de fokproducten van stal Huckriede.

Hoogtepunt was toch wel het kampioenschap van 4-jarige keurmerrie Selvira van Toos (Magnifiek x Larix) bij de 4- t/m 7-jarige keur- en elitemerries aan de hand.

Zij is eigendom van Landbouwbedrijf Jan Bakker BV in Oldebroek.

“Selvira van Toos is een prachtige merrie, die zeer goed kan bewegen. Ze laat veel front zien en beweegt met een goed achterbeen. Ook heeft ze een goed voorbeengebruik en lichaamshouding wat haar vandaag kampioen maakt”. Bron: KWPN.

Ook in tuig plaatste deze actievolle merrie zich voor de Finale der Nationale.

In de finale van de 3-jarige merries aan de hand eindigde de jeugdige Tante Toos (Cizandro x Larix) van Lambertus op een hele mooie vijfde plaats. Het elegante vosje klom er lekker in en had een goede techniek van bewegen.

In de strijd om de Renovo-schaal werd Lambertus met Renvyle International (v. Ditisem) van Frank Fitzpatrick tweede.

Excellent breeding results at National Harness Horse Day

At the national mare inspection held last Saturday, August 8th in Lunteren, there were excellent results for the breeding products of the Huckriede stable.

The highlight was undoubtedly the championship of the 4-year-old approved mare Selvira van Toos (Magnifiek x Larix) in the 4- to 7-year-old approved and elite mares in hand. She is owned by Landbouwbedrijf Jan Bakker BV in Oldebroek.

“Selvira van Toos is a beautiful mare who moves very well. She shows a lot of front and moves with a good hind leg. She also has good foreleg usage and body posture, which makes her champion today.” Source: KWPN.

In the harness competition, this action-packed mare also qualified for the National Finals.

In the final of the 3-year-old mares in hand, the youthful Tante Toos (Cizandro x Larix) by Lambertus finished in a very nice fifth place. The elegant chestnut climbed in nicely and had good movement technique.

In the competition for the Renovo Scale, Lambertus finished second with Renvyle International (by Ditisem) owned by Frank Fitzpatrick.

Bijzonder en eervol moment

Na de prijsuitreiking van de ereklasse kleine maat Hackney’s werd Lambertus verzocht uit te treden en naar voren te komen.

Waarom dit was wist op dat moment niemand maar werd snel duidelijk toen Cees Slui en zijn vrouw vanuit de VIP-tent naar buiten kwamen met de Nickery Boy bokaal, een plateau met daarop een prachtig beeldje van een Hackney voor de concourswagen, en deze overhandigden aan Lambertus.

Deze Nickery Boy bokaal wordt sinds begin jaren ’90 beschikbaar gesteld door de familie Slui en uitgereikt aan de beste regionale Hackney. De Hackney hengst Nickery Boy van de heer A.C. Mosselman uit Kruiningen in Zeeland, maakte in jaren ’70 en ’80 furore op de Nederlandse en Engelse concoursvelden.

De heer Cees Slui was in die tijd groom bij de heer Mosselman en samen mochten zij vele kampioenschappen meemaken.

De laatste keer dat de Nickery Boy bokaal is uitgereikt was in 2024 aan Henri Hutten met Maroanka’s Bellisimo.

Volgens mevrouw Slui was er de laatste jaren veel gedoe over de puntentelling voor de bokaal en daarom zijn ze gestopt met het uitreiken.

Aangezien zij beide al op leeftijd zijn en nu nog redelijk gezond zijn, wilden zij deze waardevolle bokaal nog één keer uitreiken aan iemand die heel veel voor de Hackney sport heeft betekend en dat nog steeds doet. “Voor ons is dat Lambertus Huckriede. Wij kennen elkaar al zo lang en hebben altijd een goed band gehad.”

Waarom uitreiken in Buitenpost? Daar zijn meerdere redenen voor: Mosselman en Nickery Boy werden in 1980 in Buitenpost voor het eerst kampioen van Nederland en Nickery Boy naam in 1989 afscheid van de sport, ook weer in Buitenpost! Daarbij was Cees Slui jaren lang jurylid in Buitenpost en dit jaar voor de 50ste keer aanwezig op hoe het noemt: “Het mooiste concours van Nederland.”

Voor Lambertus was het een ontroerend maar ook bijzonder eervol moment om de laatste Nickery Boy bokaal te mogen ontvangen. Temeer omdat het wagennummer waar hij mee rijdt bij de Hackney’s hetzelfde is waar de heer Mosselman vroeger mee reed: nummer 1.

A special and honorable moment

After the prize-giving ceremony for the small-sized Hackney honor class, Lambertus was asked to step out and come forward. No one knew why at the time, but it quickly became clear when Cees Slui and his wife emerged from the VIP tent with the Nickery Boy Trophy—a platform featuring a beautiful statuette of a Hackney in front of a carriage—and presented it to Lambertus.

This Nickery Boy Trophy has been made available by the Slui family since the early 1990s and awarded to the best regional Hackney. The Hackney stallion Nickery Boy, owned by Mr. A.C. Mosselman from Kruiningen in Zeeland, caused a sensation on the Dutch and English show fields in the 1970s and 1980s.

At that time, Mr. Cees Slui was a groom for Mr. Mosselman, and together they witnessed many championships.

The last time the Nickery Boy trophy was awarded was in 2024 to Henri Hutten with Maroanka’s Bellisimo.

According to Mrs. Slui, there was a lot of fuss in recent years regarding the scoring for the trophy, which is why they stopped awarding it.

Since they are getting on in years and are still reasonably healthy, they wanted to present this valuable trophy one last time to someone who has meant a great deal to the Hackney sport and continues to do so. “For us, that is Lambertus Huckriede. We have known each other for so long and have always had a good bond.”

Why present it in Buitenpost? There are several reasons for this:

Mosselman and Nickery Boy became Dutch champions for the first time in Buitenpost in 1980, and Nickery Boy retired from the sport in 1989, also in Buitenpost!
Additionally, Cees Slui was a judge in Buitenpost for many years and is present this year for the 50th time at what is called: “The most beautiful show in the Netherlands.”

For Lambertus, it was a moving but also a particularly honorable moment to receive the final Nickery Boy trophy. All the more so because the car number he drives with the Hackneys is the same one Mr. Mosselman used to drive: number 1.

Opnieuw vijf overwinningen, nu in Buitenpost.

Gisteren, 5 augustus, was stal Huckriede afgereisd naar Buitenpost waar voor de 71ste keer een concours Hippique werd gehouden. Stal Huckriede komt graag naar Buitenpost en bewaard succesvolle herinneringen aan dit prachtige evenement.

De dag begon met een overwinning van Anneke Borkent met de Hackney hengst Luddington Mainstream in de kwaliteitsvolle limietklasse.

Ook met Luddington Hi Five van de gebroeders Rast blijft Anneke de damesklasse domineren en won opnieuw. In de ereklasse nam Lambertus Huckriede plaats achter de goedgekeurde hengst en won deze wedstrijd ook overtuigend.

In het tweespankampioenschap reed Lambertus Luddington Mainstream en Heartland Done’t Blame Me naar het reserve-kampioenschap.

Ook bij de tuigpaarden wonnen Lambertus en Anneke hun wedstrijd.

Lambertus wist met Renvyle International de ereklasse op zijn naam te schrijven en Anneke won Met Renvyle Imondro de damesklasse weer.

Another five victories, this time in Buitenpost.

Yesterday, August 5th, Stal Huckriede traveled to Buitenpost, where a Concours Hippique was held for the 71st time. Stal Huckriede enjoys coming to Buitenpost and cherishes successful memories of this wonderful event.

The day began with a victory by Anneke Borkent with the Hackney stallion Luddington Mainstream in the high-quality limit class.

Anneke also continues to dominate the ladies' class with Luddington Hi Five, owned by the Rast brothers, and won again. In the honor class, Lambertus Huckriede took his place behind the approved stallion and also won this competition convincingly.

In the pairs championship, Lambertus drove Luddington Mainstream and Heartland Done’t Blame Me to the reserve championship.

Lambertus and Anneke also won their competitions in the harness horse classes. Lambertus managed to claim the honor class with Renvyle International, and Anneke won the ladies' class again with Renvyle Imondro.

Vijf keer oranje en kampioen in Opmeer

Vandaag, maandag 3 augustus, was stal Huckriede met tuigpaarden en Hackney’s aanwezig op het grote nationale concours hippique van Opmeer, dat voor de 115de keer werd gehouden.

Het werd een zeer succesvolle dag met vijf overwinningen inclusief het tandemkampioenschap Hackney’s.

Lambertus Huckriede reed Luddington Mainstream (v. Werstbourne Hi Tech) en Heartland Don’t Blame Me (v. Heartland Moonshadow) heel gedecideerd naar de titel.

Beide bruine pony’s maakten hun debuut in deze formatie en dan gelijk kampioen worden is bijzonder knap. Mainstream trok de kar en Don’t Blame Me had een vrije rol voorop en pakte die heel goed op. Beide pony’s liepen mooi recht gesteld en maakten bijna geen fouten.

Ook Luddington Hi Five (v. Westbourne Hi Tech) was weer ouderwets goed en won met Anneke Borkent zowel de openklasse kleine maat als de damesklasse.

Dezelfde Anneke liet tuigpaard Renvyle Imondro (v. Cizandro) geweldig showen. De bruine ruin klom erin en was daarbij heel ruim in de voorhand.

Met Renvyle International (v. Ditisem) won Lambertus vrij makkelijk de openklasse.

Ook de goedgekeurde hengst Palladium (v. Hubert VDM) was mee en werd in handen van Lambertus keurig derde in het kampioenschap voor 6- en 7-jarige tuigpaarden.

Five times orange and champion in Opmeer

Today, Monday, August 3, the Huckriede stable was present with harness horses and Hackneys at the major national show jumping competition in Opmeer, which was held for the 115th time.

It was a very successful day with five victories, including the Hackney tandem championship.

Lambertus Huckriede rode Luddington Mainstream (by Westbourne Hi Tech) and Heartland Don’t Blame Me (by Heartland Moonshadow) very decisively to the title.

Both bay ponies made their debut in this formation, and becoming champion straight away is particularly impressive. Mainstream pulled the cart, and Don’t Blame Me had a free role at the front, which he handled very well. Both ponies moved beautifully straight and made almost no mistakes.

Luddington Hi Five (by Westbourne Hi Tech) was also exceptionally good again and, with Anneke Borkent, won both the small size open class and the ladies' class.

The same Anneke showed off harness horse Renvyle Imondro (by Cizandro) brilliantly. The bay gelding got into the swing of things and was very spacious in the forehand.

With Renvyle International (by Ditisem), Lambertus won the open class quite easily.

The approved stallion Palladium (by Hubert VDM) also participated and, in the hands of Lambertus, finished a respectable third in the championship for 6- and 7-year-old harness horses.

PALLADIUM wint eerste wedstrijd KWPN/Westfort hengstencompetitie

Vandaag toog stal Huckriede naar mooi Gaasterland waar het 80ste concours hippique van Rijs werd gehouden. Het werd opnieuw een succesvolle dag met drie overwinningen, twee keer een twee en twee keer een derde prijs.

Voor de goedgekeurde tuigpaardhengst Palladium (v. Hubert VDM) stond de eerste wedstrijd van de KWPN/Westfort hengstencompetitie op het programma.

Lambertus Huckriede had de hengst in topvorm en pakte de tien competitiepunten met een glorieuze zege.
De vos wist van begin tot eind te imponeren en liet een mooi rijzend beeld zien waarbij hij veel actie en ruimte in de voorhand legde.
De achterhand werd krachtig onder het lichaam gebracht en de hals en hoofdhouding was fier en aansprekend.

Ook Renvyle Imondro (v. Cizandro) wist te imponeren en deed dat met name in de damesklasse waar Anneke Borkent de bruine naar de overwinning reed.

In de ereklasse werden Anneke en Imondro derde achter Lambertus met de vos Renvyle International (v. Ditisem). Beide paarden zijn van Frank Fitzpatrick.

Voor de Hackney’s stond het ereklasse kampioenschap kleine maat op het programma en hierin wist Anneke Borkent een derde plaats te behalen met Luddington Hi Five (v. Westbourne Hi Tech) van de gebroeders Rast.

Vanwege het kampioenschap reed Anneke halfbroer Luddington Mainstream (v. Westbourne Hi Tech) in de damesklasse en dit werd bekroond met de eerste plaats.
De jonge hengst pakte geweldig aan en toonde veel actie.

Dat deed ook de Heartland Don’t Blame Me (v. Heartland Moonshadow) in de limietklasse en behaalde met Anneke een mooie tweede plaats.

PALLADIUM wins first KWPN/Westfort stallion competition

Today, the Huckriede stable traveled to beautiful Gaasterland, where the 80th Rijs Equestrian Competition was held. It was once again a successful day with three victories, two second prizes, and two third prizes.

The first competition of the KWPN/Westfort stallion competition was on the schedule for the approved harness horse stallion Palladium (by Hubert VDM).

Lambertus Huckriede had the stallion in top form and secured ten competition points with a glorious victory. The chestnut managed to impress from start to finish, displaying a beautiful rising image with plenty of action and scope in the forehand. The hindquarters were brought powerfully under the body, and the neck and head carriage were proud and appealing.

Renvyle Imondro (by Cizandro) also managed to impress, particularly in the ladies' class, where Anneke Borkent rode the bay to victory.
In the honor class, Anneke and Imondro finished second behind Lambertus with the chestnut Renvyle International (by Ditisem). Both horses are owned by Frank Fitzpatrick.

For the Hackneys, the small size honor class championship was on the program, in which Anneke Borkent managed to secure a third place with Luddington Hi Five (by Westbourne Hi Tech) from the Rast brothers.

Due to the championship, Anneke rode half-brother Luddington Mainstream (by Westbourne Hi Tech) in the ladies' class, and this was crowned with first place. The young stallion performed wonderfully and showed a lot of action.

The Heartland Don’t Blame Me (by Heartland Moonshadow) did the same in the limit class and achieved a fine second place with Anneke.

Twee keer kampioen op mooiste concours van Nederland

Wat een succes voor stal Huckriede gisteravond op het grote nationale concours van Norg.

Als eerste werd Anneke Borkent kampioen van Nederland in de damesklasse met de Hackney hengst Luddington Hi Five (v. Westbourne Hi Tech) van de gebroeders Rast.

De hengst was in topvorm en liep een geweldige, perfecte en actievolle stand-show. Met een hoge en ruime knieactie in de voorhand en een bijzonder krachtig achterbeengebruik was de tweede kampioenstitel op rij voor Anneke en Hi Five een feit.

Voor Anneke was het haar zestiende nationaal dameskampioenschap en zevenentwintigste in totaal met een Hackney.

Na deze titelstrijd kwam Lambertus Huckriede in de baan met Renvyle International (v. Ditisem) en de hengst Palladium (v. Hubert VDM) voor het Nederlands tweespankampioenschap.
Het werd een spannende strijd waarbij beide vossen met veel kracht en ruimte door de ruime baan liepen en mooi tegen elkaar opklommen. Het sterkte benenwerk en rijzende beeld was voor de arbiter reden om International en Palladium tot kampioen te kronen.
Een schitterend resultaat voor met name de jonge hengst Palladium die dit seizoen voor het eerst in het tweespan wordt uitgebracht.

Voor Renvyle International van Frank Fitzpatrick was dit zijn tweede tweespantitel op rij nadat de machtig bewegende vos vorig jaar ook al kampioen was geworden. Voor Lambertus was het zijn negentigste kampioenschap in zijn lange tuigpaarden carrière! Een ongeëvenaard aantal.

Familie Rast en familie Fitzpatrick van harte gefeliciteerd.

In de ereklasse voor tuigpaarden werden Lambertus en Renvyle International heel best tweede.

Anneke behaalde met de Hackney hengst Luddington Mainstream (v. Westbourne Hi Tech) een hele mooie en verdiende tweede plaats in de lage limietklasse.

En dan zorgde Lambertus op het eind van de avond nog voor een daverende verrassing bij de tweespannen Hackney’s.

Hij reed Luddington Mainstream en Heartland Don’t Blame Me (v. Heartland Moonshadow) voor het eerst naast elkaar in het span en wist gelijk te winnen. Beide pony’s passen goed bij elkaar in zowel beweging als houding en liepen alsof ze al jaren samen lopen. Het liep als de welbekende trein!

Twice Champion at the Most Beautiful Competition in the Netherlands

What a success for the Huckriede stable last night at the major national competition in Norg.

First, Anneke Borkent became Dutch Champion in the Ladies' Class with the Hackney stallion Luddington Hi Five (by Westbourne Hi Tech) owned by the Rast brothers.

The stallion was in top form and performed a fantastic, perfect, and action-packed show. With high and spacious knee action in the forehand and particularly powerful hind leg usage, the second consecutive champion title for Anneke and Hi Five was secured.

For Anneke, it was her sixteenth national ladies' championship and twenty-seventh in total with a Hackney.

Following this title fight, Lambertus Huckriede entered the arena with Renvyle International (by Ditisem) and the stallion Palladium (by Hubert VDM) for the Dutch Pair Driving Championship.

It was an exciting battle in which both chestnut horses moved through the spacious arena with great power and scope, climbing beautifully against each other. The strong legwork and rising conformation prompted the judge to crown International and Palladium as champions. A magnificent result, particularly for the young stallion Palladium, who is being entered in the pair team for the first time this season.

For Frank Fitzpatrick’s Renvyle International, this was his second consecutive pair title, after the powerfully moving chestnut had also become champion last year. For Lambertus, it was his ninetieth championship in his long harness horse career! An unparalleled number.

Heartfelt congratulations to the Rast and Fitzpatrick families.

In the honor class for harness horses, Lambertus and Renvyle International finished a very respectable second.

Anneke achieved a beautiful and well-deserved second place in the low limit class with the Hackney stallion Luddington Mainstream (by Westbourne Hi Tech).

And then, at the end of the evening, Lambertus provided a tremendous surprise in the Hackney pairs. He drove Luddington Mainstream and Heartland Don’t Blame Me (by Heartland Moonshadow) side by side in the team for the first time and managed to win immediately.
Both ponies complement each other well in both movement and posture and performed as if they had been together for years.

It ran like clockwork!
