It’s been a little quiet over here lately..

Just when Storm was finally doing so well again, life threw me a curveball. I was involved in a car accident 🙂‍↕️

Thankfully, Storm is still doing really well, which gives me so much peace of mind.

I’m taking things one day at a time but we’ve even managed to enjoy two short walks together already 🫶🏻

Hoping to be back with more adventures soon.

Warm weather means one thing … 💦

Today I got to meet ‘ sweetest little foal 🥹 it brought back a thought I’ve had so many times.
I’ve often dreamed about breeding a foal from Storm. How special would it be to see a mini her grow up en enjoy that entire proces yourself.
But every time, the “what ifs” win.

As magical as it sounds, Storm’s health and wellbeing will always come first. So for now, I’ll happily enjoy everyone else’s adorable foals. 🥹

How’s Storm doing on the paddock paradise? 🌿
Honestly... so far, so good. 🥹
 My biggest fear was that she’d turn into a little barrel with unlimited forage available. I think every easy keeper owner knows that fear. 😅
 But up until now, things have actually been going really well. Has she gained weight? Yes, definitely. But looking back, with the strict laminitis management, she’d actually become a little too lean (who would have ever thought I’d say this haha).
 Right now, I feel like we’re getting close to a healthy weight. If we can maintain it like this, I’ll be one very happy horse mom. 🤞
 It’s been a good reminder that every horse is different, and sometimes the thing you’re most worried about doesn’t end up being the biggest challenge.

Do your horses have unlimited forage? If so, do you use slow feeders, hay nets, or another system? I’d love to hear your experiences! 👇

Every horse teaches you something different. 🤎

I had the opportunity to ride Evy Ruijs. beautiful Z-level dressage horse and loooved every second of it.
To be honest, it felt so good to really ride again (and a great reminder of how much there is still to learn).

A huge thank you to Evy for this opportunity and for sharing her amazing horse with me. 🫶 And of course I couldn’t let her leave without challenging her to hop on Storm too 😜 who would like to see that?

Did you know Evy also gives lessons to riders dealing with riding anxiety, as well as riders who want to experience and learn on highly trained dressage horses! Such a valuable experience.

Well... summer is definitely what we got here. 🥵

Not our favorite weather... but Storm has found the perfect way to cool down. 💦

Watching her enjoy the water never gets old. These little moments make even the hottest days enjoyable.
