About
Exceptional, the dam of this filly, lives up to her name. She produced the approved 4* GP showjumping stallion Asterix de Couleur, the GP showjumper Let’s Fly Z and Unico Z. Through her dam, Winning Girl, Exceptional is a half-sister to the approved sport stallions Gylord Carthago and VDL Quickthago, as well as to the international showjumpers Call Girl, Wondergirl, In The Air, My Big Hope and Gently Z. Exceptional’s granddam, A-Cover Girl, jumped at 1m60 level and produced, among others, Lactic, with whom John Whitaker was very successful in the international five-star circuit. Perra completes the picture. In addition to A-Cover Girl, she produced the progenitor and two-time Olympic stallion Carthago (a full brother to A-Cover Girl) and the approved sport stallion Cinnamon 3.

AGANIX DU SEIGNEUR Z - NUMERO UNO
Out of the dam line of CARTHAGO Z!

Sire Aganix du Seigneur broke through at 1.60m level under Jos Lansink, until he was unfortunately injured and is now fully used as a stud. Offspring in the 1.60m Grand Prix are for example Agana van het Gerendal Z, Agadance van ’t Gelutt, Akarad Hero Z, Ayade Hero Z, Athletix Hero Z and Attoucha. We can certainly expect something in terms of sport from this interestingly bred pregnancy. It carries the modern blood of Ansingh de Lis, mated with the sister of, among others, the 1.55 m show jumper Calypso des Joanins, the 1.50 m classified Casuality Z, the 1.45 m classified Completely Z and the 1.40 m show jumper Legendary Z. The breadth of this internationally proven bloodline is evident from the fact that their dam is the sister of, among others, the 1.60 m stallions Gentleman (Emilia Housen) and Viva la Vida (Karel Cox) and the 1.50 m classed Carige and Qua Paso Z.

🍀Breeders joy!🤩
Last weekend, a son of the Holstein, Oldenburg, and SWB approved stallion Asterix de Couleur (by Aganix du Seigneur) was awarded premium status and named reserve champion at the Oldenburg stallion licensing. Asterix de Couleur is the first offspring of our broodmare Exceptional (Hickstead x Numero Uno) and is already competing at 1.55m-level at nine years of age with Douglas Lindelöw. The young Oldenburg approved stallion sired by Asterix de Couleur (damsire Caretinus) was subsequently sold in the auction to Zangersheide, where he will have excellent opportunities for a promising future. The combination of Aganix du Seigneur and Exceptional has proven exceptionally strong, which is why we have repeated the pairing multiple times. Their progeny such as the five-year-old Annika de Couleur B and the four-year-old Amarix Z are already showing remarkable talent in the young horse classes. Dam Exceptional is herself a granddaughter of the Grand Prix mare A-Cover Girl, the full sister of the Olympic sire Carthago.

‼️ MALICE DE CHALUCE

‘Half-sister Fragance de Chalus’

Unique opportunities: there are certainly some here. Because although she is getting on in years, this sister of Fragance de Chalus is still in top condition. And she can certainly still be used for ICSI or embryo transfers. She herself has successfully produced the international top horses Quartz de Nantuel (1m45), Ugoline de Chalusse (1m40), Valentine de Chalusse (1m40) and Virtuoso de Talma (1m40). But as the aunt of top stallions Bamako de Muze, Norton d'Eole and Mylord Carthago, she is of course very well known. A line that appeals to the imagination worldwide. And one you can tap into right away!

‼️ CAPTIN BLUE Z
‘Sire line: Carthago’
‘Young and promising. That’s how the offspring from Cero Blue looks like.
A proven top line. With a modern twist! With this classy foal, our loyal breeders have truly taken the next step in a line that has been improved generation after generation. Back to basics: where the great-grandmother herself jumped 1.60 metres. And among others, the full sister is by the influential stallion Carthago Z. In every generation since then, we see several Grand Prix show jumpers. This auction item can call itself the brother of the 1m55 Grand Prix stallion Astrix de Couleur and the 1m45 show jumper Let’s Fly, among others. The next generation, in the form of this foal, is eager to take up the baton.
