The story that you don’t always notice🤍

Just a few seconds in the arena, but years of dedication, patience, trust and passion.

The little victories, the setbacks, the people who give their all behind the scenes and so much love for the horses!❤️

Glad to be a part of every step they take, from foal to the international stage✨

Did you know that some of our horses carry a little piece of VDL history in their name? 👀

Take Special V, named after VDL Special Vehicles, or Futura and Mistral, names you may recognise from VDL’s iconic coaches.

But not every name comes from a company or product. Some are much closer to home🤍

Wim, named after Wim van der Leegte, together with Willem, Jennifer en Pieter all carry names from the Van der Leegte family, while Wiebe and Kees refer to familiar faces within Stoeterij Duyselshof.

And of course, there is Leopold, named after Leopold van Asten!

A small detail perhaps, but one that connects our horses, our people and the history of VDL Groep in a very special way.

Which other names do you recognise?🤩

With more than 70 hectares, most of which is fields, there is plenty of space for our horses to move, relax and simply enjoy being outside🌿

And did you know? After our 3yo’s have been introduced to the saddle and taken their first steps in their education, they return to the fields for another two months to relax😌

Especially with weather like this, it’s the perfect time to move freely and just be horses🤍

Remember, they don’t always understand what’s happening yet, they just know that they feel safe with you🤍

Their first stept under the saddle; Slowly, softly & together.

Thank you .erlandsson03 for always giving them the time, confidence and trust they need to take every new step at their own pace.

One more time, VDL Groep Iron Z from the very beginning 🤍

Born at Stoeterij Duyselshof. Raised here. Educated here. And carefully developed, step by step, all the way to the highest level of international showjumping.

The story of VDL Groep Iron Z is about much more than the results that followed. It is a story of breeding, patience, development and knowing when a horse is ready for what comes next. From his first steps at home to Nations Cups, five-star sport and the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen, and a journey that continues today as Iron Man under Cian O'Connor

Discover The Road of VDL Groep Iron Z via the link in bio or directly on stoeterijduyselshof.nl💻💙

A proud look back at our 4yo VDL Groep Sinclair🤩

With young horses, it is not always the result that tells the full story. Despite one fault, Sinclair showed us exactly what we hope to see at this stage of his development: confidence, a calm head and plenty of power.

The way this 4yo handled the atmosphere, stayed focused and continued to jump with such quality made us incredibly proud🙌🏼

Unique face, unique technique, incredibly talented🤩

That is the perfect way to describe VDL Groep Nemo. Looking back at Sentower where he showed some real potential😍
