Besides the sale of Dendrobatidae, we sell almost any kind of article, necessary to keep these beautiful frogs in top condition. Articles like: breeding-terraria, food (Drosophila), sprinklerinstallations (mist) and show-terraria (standard or customized). Rana is always trying to develop en improve products and ideas. We import dendobates and other frogs from Central- and South America on a regular base. These animals are bred in farms with whom Rana closely works together. Shipments are handled carefully to make sure that animals are not harmed on their journey and you can buy animals of top quality

Our company has existed since 1994 and developed from the hobby of owner Ruud Schouten, which he has practiced for over 20 years. At this very moment we breed with more than 30 different species in more than 100 terraria. Another custom Phelsuma terrarium rack has just been completed in our workshop.

The setup includes:

* 8 glass terrariums phelsuma style
* natural Elastopur/Turfmix backgrounds
* Arcadia Jungle Dawn LED lighting
* one 35W halogen heat spot per terrarium
* complete Whisper Professional misting system
* integrated light compartments in a clean aluminium frame

A compact, space-efficient setup with all technical components neatly integrated and still easy to access.

Now it’s ready to leave our workshop and go to its new owner. 🌿

This RANA Panorama Show Terrarium in our standard size of 80 × 50 × 80 cm (L × D × H) only spent a few days in our showroom before finding a new happy owner. 🌿💧

For this terrarium, I tried a new waterfall design for the first time, incorporating real slate stone into the landscape. The continuously flowing water adds a beautiful sense of movement and life to the terrarium, and the feature has received extremely positive feedback from everyone who has seen it so far.

I would have loved to keep this terrarium in the showroom a little longer and watch it mature — seeing the moss gradually spread, the climbing plants cover more and more of the background and the bromeliads develop their vibrant colours.

But of course, I’m very happy for its new owner, who can now experience this development live at home. 🌱

🌿 Off to a new home!

This 60 × 40 × 80 cm panoramic show terrarium from our showroom is being picked up by its happy new owner today. 💚

Over the past few weeks, it has really grown into its own: the bromeliads have developed beautiful, intense colours under the powerful lighting by ✨, while the small waterfall and pond area have become beautifully overgrown with mosses and lush marsh plants. 🌱💧

Our standard show terrariums have been selling like hot cakes lately, and our showroom is starting to look surprisingly empty! 😄 But don’t worry — we’re already hard at work building and planting new displays for you.

Now this little piece of rainforest is ready to thrive in its new home. 🌿

🌿 Drie nieuwe varens in ons assortiment!

Nieuw verkrijgbaar zijn Microsorum pteropus ‘Narrow’, Microsorum pteropus ‘Trident’ en de elegante Congovaren Bolbitis heudelotii.

Alle drie zijn bijzonder geschikt voor zeer vochtige regenwoudterraria en paludaria. Ze houden van een hoge luchtvochtigheid, een halfschaduwrijke standplaats en een plek langs beeklopen, watervallen, oevers of andere regelmatig besproeide zones.

De varens kunnen uitstekend op wortels, stenen of kurk worden bevestigd en laten zich dankzij hun vergelijkbare verzorgingseisen prachtig met elkaar combineren.

🌿 Nieuw in ons assortiment: Vriesea rubyae! 🌿

Een prachtige miniatuurbromelia die perfect geschikt is voor tropische terraria en paludaria. Dankzij haar compacte groei en opvallende oranje bloeiwijze is deze soort een echte blikvanger.
Zoals veel bromelia's vormt ook Vriesea rubyae natuurlijke waterreservoirs in de bladrozet. Hierdoor is ze een waardevolle plant voor veel soorten pijlgifkikkers en een mooie aanvulling op een natuurlijk ingericht terrarium.
