โข Cat transferred in exchange for a kitten โ agreed exchange never fulfilled.
โข No payment. No kitten received.
โข Blocked on nearly all communication channels.
โข CatVision Sarabi Najiya is pregnant with her second litter.
Sarabi is a female bred by CatVision. She was not fully comfortable in our larger group, so we agreed that she would permanently move to a breeder in France in exchange for one kitten.
Our first choice was confirmed in writing both at the time of the transfer and before the litter was born. We were told that we could choose before the adopters and that the breeder would not keep a kitten herself. She later referred to the arrangement herself asโ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐โ.
When Sarabi had her first litter, the females were sold at around three weeks old before we had made our choice. The male was then offered to us, but we were told there was another buyer and that all kittens needed to be sold because of financial difficulties. Out of goodwill, we agreed. The breeder then proposed several alternative pairings from which we could choose a future kitten.
To our surprise, at the end of June we discovered through social media that this male had not been sold at all, but had been kept by the breeder as a future stud.
Her explanations then changed repeatedly, eventually going as far as claiming that Sarabi had simply been โrehomedโ
Several attempts to reach an agreement and remedy the situation were disputed, rejected, or offered and later withdrawn, in one case only around 30 minutes after being proposed, with the words: โ๐ผ ๐โ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐๐โ. The additional payment discussed for a male was also suddenly increased by approximately 2.5 times.

โก๏ธ โฌ0 was paid for CatVision Sarabi Najiya .
โก๏ธ We never received the agreed kitten.
โก๏ธ A male from Sarabiโs litter was kept as a future stud.
โก๏ธ Sarabi is pregnant with her second litter.
โก๏ธ Months of trying to resolve this privately have led nowhere.
We have also been informed that claims are being shared with other breeders that we keep asking for โmore and moreโ. That is simply not true. The agreement has always been:

We even cooperated with repeated amendments to a proposed contract at the breederโs request. In the end, we offered three solutions: honour the agreed kitten arrangement, return Sarabi, or pay her breeding value. None was fulfilled.

Because we want other breeders to learn from our mistake.
Never hand over final transfer and registration documents while a future obligation is still outstanding, even if you have known and trusted the other person for years.
We only completed the TICA transfer because the breeder wanted to show Sarabi. We trusted that our agreement would be honoured, but in hindsight, we should never have transferred ownership while the agreed exchange was still outstanding.
If you hear anything about us or this situation and have doubts, please feel free to contact us. We can provide the relevant messages and documentation so you can review the facts for yourself.
