Mane trimming at Hydrohorses ✂️🐴
A neat mane doesn’t happen by accident. Here’s our step-by-step approach:
1️⃣ First, we thoroughly brush the mane to remove any knots and tangles.
2️⃣ Next, we decide on the desired length. A hand’s width is often the standard, but we usually leave the mane just a little longer for a more natural look.
3️⃣ Time for the first cut. We make sure the horse is looking straight ahead and trim following the line of the neck for an even result.
4️⃣ Then we comb the mane over to the opposite side.
5️⃣ Any hairs that stick out on that side are carefully trimmed away.
6️⃣ We comb the mane back to its original side.
7️⃣ Finally, we make the finishing touches and remove any remaining uneven hairs for a clean, tidy result.
8️⃣ Optional: tidying up the “third ear” for an extra polished look. ✨
It’s one of those small grooming jobs that can make a big difference to the overall appearance of the horse. 💚🐴
