Four years after winning double individual gold in Herning, Lottie Fry and Glamourdale did it all over again at the Aachen 2026 World Championships – and in doing so wrote a new chapter in dressage history.

No combination had ever successfully defended both individual world titles before.

It's all the more remarkable given where they were just a year ago. At the 2025 Europeans, the pair missed the individual podium altogether, finishing 10th in the freestyle. Afterwards, Lottie sat down with her trainer Anne van Olst for a proper debrief, and they went right back to basics.

The result? Tests that Lottie described as the best they've ever done.

"Staying at the top is mentally so much harder than getting there," Lottie said.

Follow the link to read more about how they did it – in Lottie's own words.
