🧶 Calling all crafty cat lovers! 🪡

TACC Rescue is exploring a monthly crafting day. A relaxed, welcoming get-together for people who enjoy knitting, crochet, sewing, quilting, embroidery and other handmade crafts.

The idea is simple: create, connect and help cats. Bring along your own project, share your skills or help us make practical and fundraising items to support the cats and kittens in our care.

All experience levels are welcome, even complete beginners!

We’re currently collecting expressions of interest to help us choose the best location, day, time and activities.

A huge thank you to Boehringer Ingelheim for generously providing TACC Rescue with 300 NexGard pipettes for kittens! 💙🐾

These pipettes will help us provide essential parasite protection for kittens in our care, as well as cats and kittens supported through our work in the wider community.

This incredibly practical donation will make a meaningful difference, helping vulnerable kittens stay healthy while allowing our limited rescue funds to stretch even further.

🐾 WANT TO HELP, BUT CAN’T FOSTER?

Since opening in February 2025, our small team has helped more than 320 cats and kittens find loving homes.

We’re incredibly proud of what has been achieved—but we need more volunteers to keep this important work going.

Could you help with:

🚗 Transport to vet appointments or adoption days
💻 IT support
⛺ Adoption-day setup and pack-down
🧵 Sewing, knitting or making items for cats in care and fundraising

Materials can be provided for many of our crafting projects, and you can help occasionally or regularly.

You don’t need to foster to make a difference. Please message us to get involved. 💜🐱

🐾 HARD CAT CARRIERS NEEDED 🐾

Do you have one of our hard cat carriers at home? If so, please reach out so we can arrange its return—we urgently need them back in circulation.

We would also be incredibly grateful for donations of new or pre-loved hard plastic carriers.

Donations can be:

📍 Dropped off at Casula, Padstow or Villawood
🐱 Brought along to one of our advertised adoption days
🚗 Collected or received by another arrangement where possible

If you would like to donate a brand-new carrier, we can organise click and collect or provide a delivery address.

We specifically need hard carriers because they can be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between cats. We care for a high number of cats and kittens, some of whom arrive unwell, so preventing cross-contamination is extremely important. Unfortunately, soft fabric carriers cannot be disinfected as effectively.

Every returned or donated carrier helps us transport cats safely and continue our rescue work. Thank you for your support. 💜🐾
