Kidney disease in senior pets 🐾
As pets get older, kidney problems become more common. The tricky part is that changes can happen slowly, so you may not notice anything unusual at first.
Some signs to keep an eye on are drinking or urinating more than usual, losing weight, changes in appetite, or simply seeming a little less like themselves.
Blood and urine tests can give us useful information about how the kidneys are doing and may help us pick up changes at an early stage.
That’s why regular check ups are so important for senior pets. And if you notice something changing at home, it’s always worth mentioning it to your vet. 🩵
