Sometimes I wonder if I’m too conscious about spending money. Even when I can afford something, I still think twice before spending on things I feel are overpriced.
For example, if popcorn costs ₹350–₹500 in a theatre, I might simply skip it. Not because I can’t afford it, but because I don’t feel it’s worth that price.
At the same time, I see people who happily spend on such things without a second thought. Maybe they believe life is about enjoying the moment, while I tend to calculate whether something is worth the money.
Maybe this is what people call a middle-class mentality. No matter how much I earn or achieve in life, perhaps I’ll always have this mindset.
But is that really a bad thing? Or am I thinking too much and missing out on life’s little pleasures?
What do you think? Am I right to think this way, or is it something I need to change? I’d genuinely like to hear your thoughts.
