Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of working with this woof. She hails from Greece and has always found visitors a bit challenging (pandemic rescue pup and all that.) When guests arrive she puts on quite the display of barking, charging and making her presence very much known. But once given some guidance, she actually settled down surprisingly quickly.💯

With a baby on the way, her family is eager to make lasting changes and create a calmer home environment. The good news? As soon as her humans understood what to do she was more than willing to follow their lead.😬

More often than not, these situations come down to miscommunication. Dogs are constantly reading our body language and many owners are simply unaware of the signals they're sending. Once the humans become clear and consistent in their communication, the dog can finally relax and make better choices. Off to a flying start guys, see you again in a couple of weeks! 💪

Had the pleasure of training with Yumi the Pembroke Corgi today! She absolutely loves finding food on the streets of Amsterdam so we got straight to work implementing new techniques to help prevent scavenging. There are several effective ways to tackle this behaviour and we managed to cover quite a few of them.😬

We also spent some time working on her lead manners around other dogs and put together a plan to help her feel more comfortable with having her paws handled. What a wonderful little herder she is! 💜

Always love it when clients come back long after puppy training! Masha and her mama first joined training around 2.5 years ago, just as this gorgeous girl was hitting her teenage phase. She's a Dutch Shepherd mix (yesssss... you all know how much I love a pair of triangle ears!)🤪

She's back with me today, but this time with her "spare human". Mama got married and hubby wants to learn everything there is to know about training a dog like Masha. How lovely is that?! "Husbandry training" took on a whole new meaning this morning! 🤣

Fantastic work, guys, you're already working beautifully as a team! See you again in a couple of weeks time!✨️

This little one had her first stooge session! She totally smashed it, even with an unknown stooge dog directly outside the front door. Good job, pup!💓

Last weekend's Mantrailing (beginners) class was SO much fun!! We've got some wonderful dogs and guardians attending!✨️

But what is mantrailing I hear you ask? It's an exciting scent based activity where your dog learns to track a missing person via their unique scent (basically, human skin rafts and bacteria.) It's often used in search in rescue and taps into your dogs natural predatory instincts - providing mental stimulation and confidence building.💯🔥

Heyyyyy, Thor! It’s been a few years since we last saw each other and I’m buzzing to be back helping prepare this handsome pup for the big life changes ahead… his humans are expecting a baby later this year! It’s always wonderful catching up with past clients during such an exciting chapter.👶

My specialised programme focuses on proactively preparing dogs for life with a newborn, addressing the most common challenges before they arise...prevention is always better than intervention. I’m so happy for you all and can’t wait to support you through this next adventure! 💜

Milo is a Romanian rescue with a gentle, sensitive nature. He has “blacklisted” several areas around his home that he considers unsafe, is wary of new visitors in the house and has recently started showing signs of dog reactivity.🫣

We had a fantastic walk-and-train session where I guided Milo and his mum through techniques to help him work through his fears rather than avoid them. Milo did incredibly well and picked up the concepts very quickly (as did his Mum!) Lots to work on but I have very high hopes for this team.🤗

Scent work is such a game changer for so many dogs and I absolutely adore watching everything start to click into place. Well done, team !💯

Tycho is a young Tibetan Terrier!🥰

He loves everyone and everything so our goals are primarily to channel his enthusiasm into real life manners and behaviours that are reliable in the urban jungle. He adores the game of train and is highly motivated to get it "right." Great first session guys, see you again in a couple of weeks!😇
