Three years after we first introduced you to LUNI Singapore, their mission continues. 🐾

LUNI (Love the Unwanted, Neglected & Ill-Treated!) continues to provide medical care, support community feeders, manage trap-neuter-release programs, and help cats and kittens find new homes.

But behind every rescue is a side we don’t always see: the difficult decisions, limited funds, limited foster capacity, and the emotional toll of caring for cats in need.

Today, LUNI is seeing a sharp increase in cat abandonment and requests for medical assistance. Some cats need weeks or even months of treatment — and foster families are needed more than ever.

Because sometimes, helping just one cat can make all the difference. ❤️

Earlier this year, our CatSwoppr team member Thaïss Petit found a mama cat and her kittens hiding in a construction site right by a busy road.

Because of where their nest was, she couldn’t reach them herself. But with the help of SAZ Amsterdam and a lot of patience, the whole family is now safe! 💗 The kittens in this post are actually the ones she found after SAZ brought them to safety!

Here’s a quick pocket guide in case you ever run into a stray or emergency around the city. (A friendly reminder that both SAZ and Dierenambulance are run mostly by volunteers, so every bit of patience helps 🙇‍♀️)

Today's story is about six-month-old Chinese field cat (tiányuán māo, 田园猫) Dumpling from Guizhou, China. 🎏

When Dumpling first arrived at his pawrents, he wasn’t in the best health and needed immediate medical care. During those early days, he showed his family just how special he was. While resting in his adopter’s arms, his tiny body curled up tightly as he gently licked their hand. That small moment created an unforgettable bond between them.
