Mokum Mobile Vet will be closed Fri, 10 July - Mon, 27 July.

Please be sure to submit your requests for prescription refills before the break. 🙏

Outside of the break, Mokum Mobile Vet is open the usual schedule: Mon, Tues & Thurs, Fri 900-1700. In addition, there will be some occasional Wed morning time slots available throughout the summer.

My daughter doesn’t often get to meet my patients, those animals I spend my days with. Today she got to meet Missy who hasn’t been feeling well recently. Both got a little love this afternoon.💗

On the way over to Missy’s house, she said “I don’t even know Missy yet, but I love her!” 🥹💗

Today is World Hypertension Day — and did you know high blood pressure is common in older cats?

Feline hypertension often develops silently but can lead to blindness, kidney damage, heart disease, and neurological problems if left untreated. Senior cats, especially those with kidney disease or hyperthyroidism, should have their blood pressure checked regularly.

If your cat hasn’t had their blood pressure checked yet — or it’s been a while — this is a good reminder to schedule it in. Cats are masters at hiding illness, and early detection can make a huge difference.

3 years of Mokum Mobile Vet ✨

My mother-in-law painted this for my business anniversary last month and somehow managed to include so much of my life and energy in one painting — the Amsterdam canals, the bakfiets, a cozy scarf, Ruby and Murray both riding along with me to house calls 🤍

April 14 marked 3 years since opening the practice. Still feels a bit surreal.

Very grateful to everyone who’s trusted me with their animals these past few years. Here’s to many more ✨

Last night was a truly special evening with the first edition of our new pet loss support circle, Where Love Still Lives. Hosted together with Dr. Elizabeth Berrocal, we had a lovely, intimate group of people who came to share, listen, and honor the animals they’ve loved and lost.

It was a gentle, meaningful space. And a clear confirmation of how much this kind of support is needed.

We’re planning to host this circle monthly, so stay tuned 🤍

A new support circle is forming in Amsterdam for those honoring the bond we shared with our animals.

A time for healing with the remembrance that our pet may be gone, but the love for them still continues. This group is suitable for those with any type of animal companion loss as well as for those going through anticipatory loss.

🌼 Spring Break Notice 🌼

Mokum Mobile Vet will be closed Fri 27 Feb – Mon 2 March while the Noord-Holland kids are on vakantie and we soak up some family time in the spring sunshine. The crocuses are popping up, and it finally feels like winter is letting go.

Outside of spring break, Mokum Mobile Vet is open Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri 9:00–17:00 for in-home care for Amsterdam cats.
