LEASHES TO THE LIGHTHOUSE 🦮🚶🏻

Join us Sunday, August 23rd at 9AM for a community hike to the lighthouse with a very special companion—a rescue dog from SOS Animales who is looking for a loving forever home! 🐕🌊

This fundraiser is a chance to get outside, meet some amazing adoptable dogs, connect with our community, and help support the rescue work happening right here in San Juan del Sur. 🇳🇮 Every step helps provide food, medical care, sterilizations, and second chances for animals in need. ❤️

23 DOGS STERILIZED TODAY 🐕🤍

Another month, another goal to reach - to sterilize as many animals as possible. 🐶🐱 We spay and neuter as many dogs and cats as we can based on the donations we are receiving in each week. 💞

Although we didn’t hit our donation goal before today, we didn’t want to let our community down by canceling, so we are asking for sponsorship for 16 of these 23 dogs. 🫶🏻 Each dog costs our organization $25 each. We are asking for 16 individuals to sponsor a spay/neuter to help us pay this bill. 🙏🏼

Meet Mama Fanta & her citrus soda litter 🥤🍋

This is a sad case of the mother that was abandoned, had been poured boiling water on her back and her tail was cut off. 😩 She was found (photo #1) hiding in trash, trying to protect her babies. 🫶🏻🐶 Sadly one baby passed away already, but she is now in a temporary foster nearby where she was found until we can move her to safer, more confined space. 🏡

FOSTERS NEEDED 🏡🐾

We have too many rescues & too little space! 🙈 We are looking for people in the community to open their home and hearts (temporarily) to help create loving & supportive space while our rescues take time they need to rehabilitate or find their forever homes. 🐶🐱

🐾 What do I need to foster?
✅ A secure and safe environment with lots of love and passion for bettering the lives of animals with the support of SOS Animales.

🐾 How long do I have to foster for?
✅ However long you would like! We ask for a minimum of three days, but it can last until adoption or until you need them to return.

🐾 Do I need to pay for anything for the rescues?
✅ No! We take care of all of the veterinary bills, food, toys, necessities, etc.

WAIVED ADOPTION FEES 🐶🐱

For the rest of August, we will be waiving adoption fees on THESE SPECIFIC RESCUES. 🐕🐈 We are rescuing at a quicker rate than we are adopting out & we need to create more space! 🥲

You will still need to go through the full adoption process with our team, but the adoption donation will be waived for these animals listed in the post. 📋🖊️ All of these rescues have been fully “vetted” (dewormed, sterilized, vaccinated, rehabilitated) & all we are asking for are loving, responsible homes. 🏡🐾

MEET MR DR PEPPER 🥤🥹

This adorable Husky mix has been homeless most of his life and we were contacted by someone who spotted him in the neighborhood and noticed something wrong with his ge****ls. 🤔 Pepper has TVT cancer and after mounting a female, he couldn’t retract it due to the painful tumors. 😖

So we decided to turn his life around and sn**ch him up from the streets. 🥰 He willingly & lovingly accepted our help. Pepper is about 1.5 years old, has the cutest underbite, the sweetest personality, and has begun his chemotherapy journey. 🐕

We are looking for sponsors and a foster for Mr Dr Pepper. 🧡 With his 4 rounds of chemotherapy, blood testing, medications/preventatives, vaccinations and sterilization (when strong enough), this will all cost our organization around $400. 🥲 If there is anyone who feels called to fully or partially sponsor Mr P, please use this link ➡️ linktr.ee/sosanimalesnica ⬅️
