The French Bulldog is a breed of domestic dog, bred to be companion dogs. The breed is the result of a cross between Toy Bulldogs imported from England and local ratters in Paris, France, in the 1800s. They are stocky, compact dogs with a friendly, mild-mannered temperament.

WHY ARE PUREBRED FRENCH BULLDOGS SO EXPENSIVE?

What makes breeding French Bulldogs (and hence Frenchie puppies) so expensive is that they require artificial insemination and c-sections to reproduce.

Their very slim hips makes it very difficult, if not nearly impossible for them to reproduce naturally.

Not to mention, vet bills, high-quality foods for the puppies, and housing just adds to the cost of breeding Frenchies.

There’s no other way to put it, breeding French Bulldogs is a full-time job; they require constant attention and care.

You might already know that the average cost of a French Bulldog ranges anywhere from $1,500 to $3,500, often even higher. Yes! You heard me right.

But, trust me they're worth every penny.
