Take this as a good example of a recently rescued poor Maine C**n, and honestly this is the sad reality caused by irresponsible breeding and people selling “cheap Maine C**ns” without proper care, knowledge, or responsibility.
Behind the low price often comes neglected health, poor nutrition, lack of proper medical care, uncontrolled breeding, and animals suffering silently. What buyers see as “cheap” may eventually cost the cat its health and quality of life.
There is a reason why properly bred pedigree cats come with a higher price tag. Ethical breeders invest heavily into quality food, health screening, vaccinations, genetic testing, proper grooming, clean environments, responsible breeding programs, registration, and ongoing care to ensure healthy and well-socialised kittens.
A Maine C**n is not a breed that should be mass produced simply for profit. They require proper nutrition, health screening, grooming, time, commitment, and ethical breeding practices.
Please stop supporting irresponsible breeders and impulse purchases just because the price seems attractive. If someone cannot afford a properly raised and responsibly bred Maine C**n, they may not be prepared for the long-term commitment and medical expenses that can come later.
Cases like this are heartbreaking, but hopefully it serves as a reminder that ethical breeding and responsible ownership truly matter. Stop supporting backyard, unethical and irresponsible breeder.
