🐿️ Something exciting is happening this weekend!

PETOPIA will be at Reptile Notes, an exotic pet fair happening at Hextar World, Empire City from 2–4 October 2026! 🐍🦎🌿

If you love sugar gliders, come drop by our booth and say hi! 💕 We’ll be bringing along a selection of our sugar glider food, supplements, treats, toys and essentials for you to shop at the event. 🛍️🐿️

They look like Leucistics… but they’re not!

✨ They’re Ruby Leu!

Ruby Leu can look almost identical to a Leucistic at first glance — beautiful white fur with no visible markings. The giveaway is in the eyes. 👀

Instead of the typical black eyes, Ruby Leu has ruby-toned eyes that can appear deep burgundy or reddish, especially under good lighting. ❤️

How do we get Ruby Leu? 👀
Ruby Leu is actually a double-recessive combination. For example, pairing a Leucistic that carries Creamino with a Creamino that carries Leucistic can produce a joey that inherits both genes — and that’s when you may get this beautiful solid-white, ruby-eyed look. ❤️🤍

And that’s only one example — there are actually many other combinations of recessive genes that can produce what we call Ruby Leu.

The boys have completed their neutering procedures. ❤️‍🩹

We’re really overwhelmed and thankful to everyone who showed concern, shared our post and offered to adopt them. So many of you reached out—thank you so much! 🙏

Before adopting, please take note ya:

🐾 Those adopting a male will need to cover his neutering cost.

🐾 For the females, we will prioritise our existing clients because we’re already familiar with how they care for their pets. We want to make sure the girls don’t end up in the wrong hands or get used for breeding and resale.

🏠 Already have gliders? Please prepare a spare cage too, as they may not bond immediately.

If you’re interested, just come over to our shop at Subang Putra Heights and speak to us. We’ll explain everything and guide you here.

🚨 PLS DON’T ABANDON SUGAR GLIDERS AT OUR DOORSTEP 🚨

Yesterday morning, someone left a cage with SIX sugar gliders outside our doorstep. 💔

Please don’t dump animals like this. Someone could have opened the cage, or stray cats and dogs could have kacau or knocked it over. The gliders might escape, get injured or even die before we notice.

🏡 We will rehome them and do our best to find responsible adopters.

If you can’t care for your gliders anymore, please ask us nicely. We may be able to help with an adoption post. Don’t just leave them here without telling us. 🙏

Before getting sugar gliders, please remember:

⏳ They can live for 10–15 years.
🤝 They need companionship, attention and enrichment.
🐾 They breed very fast. Neuter the male or keep the same gender. Many people start with two, end up with too many, then become overwhelmed and give them all away.
✂️ Their sharp nails need weekly trimming, or your hands may be full of scratches.
🧹 They are messy and cannot simply be potty-trained.
🥗 Their diet is complicated—not just apples or random fruits.
🏠 They need a proper cage, safe accessories and regular cleaning.
🌙 They are nocturnal and may be noisy at night.
🩹 They may bite, and bonding takes time and patience.

Please don’t simply buy because they look cute. They are living animals, not toys. ❤️

Buying for your kids? Parents must be ready to guide them or take over the care when they lose interest.

Pets are a commitment, not something to discard when they become inconvenient.
