This morning Aigul was found wandering in the Rabbitery by the Office on the third floor, so Aigul was bathed 🧼 today instead of the usual weekly Mondays.

Aigul has been placed on her own, in an enclosure but not in the cattery, instead in the Rabittery by the office. This is because she tends to get severe gingivitis on & off. This is most likely attributed to an autoimmune or immune-mediated component that often links to severe conditions like Feline Chronic Gingivostomatitis (FCGS), where the immune system overreacts abnormally to normal dental plaque.

Nonetheless Aigul’s dental plaque is very minimal because we do brush hee teeth with the finger rubber brush daily without fail, and in general her teeth are all strong and firmly set. Though not contagious but being in a multiple cat household, separating Aigul in the hope of reducing hierarchal stress, which may help to reduce the frequency of the gingivitis flaring, in sha Allah.
