A kitten was left in a box outside our clinic and was found dead this morning.
We need to stop normalising the idea that leaving animals at the doorstep of a clinic, shelter, or any business is an acceptable solution. It is not. It is irresponsible, cruel, and often results in exactly what happened here.
If you cannot care for an animal, ask for help. Contact a rescue group. Speak to a veterinarian. Reach out to someone. But do not leave a helpless life unattended and hope someone finds it in time.
This backward way of thinking costs lives.
This kitten deserved a chance.
