Dear friend,
Why do we become a Christian?
It's so that we can receive salvation. What is this salvation? Salvation is to have eternal life.
Does eternal life means we won't die? It's yes and no. Our physical body can die but our soul will not if we have received the Holy Spirit from God.
So even if you are a Christian, you do loads of good deeds, do lots of charity and have a lot of love and kindness to all men, but you do not have the Holy Spirit, you still cannot be saved. So pray to God to bestow the Holy Spirit. If you have been doing so for many years and still have not received it, then find out, are you worshipping the right God, and are you following His true teachings and not men's teachings?
It's just like you've been knocking on the door of your friends house but they don't open for you. When you call them, you find that you've gone to the wrong house. That's why the door did not open, no one lives there.
Trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding, in all our ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct our path.
All glory to our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. Amen.
