Update about Albert (Bert Bert) 🧡
Some of you have been asking why Albert hasn’t been outside with Migo Totoro and the others
Albert has been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), and his condition is no longer suitable for roaming like before...
Now he needs daily subcutaneous liquid, few supplements, and very very close monitoring of what he eat just to stay comfortable.
To be honest, this isn’t an easy journey...
But thankfully, Chai Vet has been there with us every step of the way, and we’re truly grateful..
Now, Petquarters and Chai Vet are taking turns to take care of Bert Bert.
Also with his condition, adoption is no longer realistic. It takes a lot of time, effort, and ongoing cost.
But somehow…
because of this, Bert Bert didn’t lose a life,
he gained a home instead. It gave him a chance to experience a life with love and care…
CKD is actually very common in stray cats. Many of them have been suffer quietly from long-term dehydration, untreated illness, and improper feeding, especially salty or seasoned human food, which can slowly damage their kidneys over time.
Yes, feeding strays is kindness
But feeding them RIGHT is responsibility.
✅ Proper cat food (kibbles or wet food)
✅ Clean, fresh water 💧
✅ Plain boiled chicken (no salt, no seasoning)
✖ Salty or seasoned human food
✖ Milk (can cause diarrhea)
✖ Fish with small bones
✖ Spoiled or leftover food
⚠️ Toxic / Dangerous Foods
✖ Onion & garlic
✖ Chocolate
✖ Alcohol / caffeinated drinks
Bert Bert, don’t worry ok 💛
You were never a burden, not even for a second.
You are our little bundle of joy, the one who quietly brings light into our days..
We may not be able to change everything,
but we promise to walk this journey with you, to fill your days with comfort, love, and all the warmth you deserve.
