Sunny was given up once. Too active, they said. Too much.
When Mike took him in, he did what felt natural - firm, strict, the wild child taken in hand. The way many of us were raised to believe discipline should look.
It didn’t work.
So Mike changed. Not the dog - himself. His tone, his temper, his whole approach. He traded firmness for patience, pressure for trust. And slowly, that’s when Sunny began to listen.
That’s the lesson at the heart of their story: teaching obedience doesn’t have to be tense or strict. It can be rooted in love. The training people praise now wasn’t built on control - it was built on a man willing to change for the dog he chose.
