🚨 A swallowed object may be more serious than it looks.

Foreign body obstruction can cause signs such as profuse vomiting, loss of appetite, weight loss, diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort and lethargy. If left untreated, the obstruction can place increasing stress on the intestines and may lead to more serious complications.

If you suspect your pet has swallowed something unusual, don’t wait for it to pass on its own. Contact your veterinarian and have your pet assessed as soon as possible. 🆘

Early diagnosis and timely treatment can make a big difference.

🚨 A swallowed foreign body can turn into a life-threatening emergency.

It may look harmless at first, but when a foreign object becomes stuck in the intestines, it can cause a serious obstruction.

Signs can include profuse vomiting, loss of appetite, weight loss, diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort and lethargy. If left untreated, the obstruction can cause intestinal rupture and sepsis.

If you suspect your pet has swallowed something unusual, don’t wait for it to pass on its own. Early diagnosis and timely treatment can make a big difference.

🤍 A tribute to Keke

Loving a patient like loving our own.

When Keke first came to us in July 2025, we honestly thought we only had another month with her.

She had diabetes, kidney disease, Cushing’s disease… and so many challenges.

We tried everything to make her eat.

Even our “peer pressure” method.

One month became many months.

And our little grandma became a superstar in the clinic.

She had her own fashion show almost every day. 👗🐶

Her favourite place?

That little corner at our reception.

Her own little spot where she could watch the world go by.

Keke and her friends. 🐾

We shall not include Lenglui in this because sometimes she bullied Keke. 😭

Keke became everyone’s friend. 🫶🏻

Even our regular clients loved her as much as we did.

Those little greetings, pats and moments together became part of our everyday life.

For Keke, every bag on the floor meant one thing: TREATS.

She would always come over to investigate, just in case someone was carrying something delicious for her.

One of the many little things about Keke that made our days brighter.

She had her grooming days. ✨

We loved watching how gently her groomer handled her, especially because Keke was blind.

Thank you, Keke’s pawrents, for trusting us to care for her for the past year. Thank you for letting us love her. We truly, dearly loved her. 🤍

We want to remember you in your good times. Not by your last moments.

Your love will continue through every life we save.

Forever in my heart. 🤍

Gluey - just like his name suggests, he had glue all over his body when he came to us. We believe he may have been stuck on a glue board but somehow managed to escape.

He was also wearing a red collar, so we suspect he may have been a missing or abandoned cat. When he first came to us, he was very uncomfortable and in quite a lot of pain when we tried to remove the glue.

In the end, we used oil and powder to gently work through the glue, and eventually managed to get him cleaned up and give him a proper bath.

And surprisingly, Gluey was very cooperative throughout the whole bath. It almost felt like he knew we were trying to help him. 🥹

The best part of his story? Gluey was eventually adopted by the person who rescued him. ❤️

We’re so happy that he found someone who was willing to give him a second chance, and we hope Gluey has a happy and wonderful life ahead of him. 🫶🏻

August :

• There were days filled with worry, frustration, exhaustion… and also days that reminded us why we do what we do.

• We had a few patients with autoimmune diseases who fought really hard with us, but sadly, they didn’t make it in the end. Saying goodbye is never easy. No matter how long we’ve been doing this, every patient still matters, and every loss still hurts a lil. 🤍

• Goodbye to our two part-timers, Shi Hua and Yin D**g. 🫶🏻

• Thank you for being part of our little team, even if it was only for a short period of time. We hope you enjoyed your time with us and brought home some good memories — despite the crazy days, the endless cleaning, the busy clinic, and the few times we probably lost our patience. 😬

• Running a clinic is so much more than just medicine. It’s about people, teamwork, trust and communication.

• It’s about learning how to work with different personalities, supporting one another on difficult days, keeping the harmony within the team, and somehow making sure our patients continue to receive the care they deserve.

• Some days we get it right. Some days we don’t. But we pick ourselves up, we keep going, and we come back the next day.

• August may have been tough, but I’m grateful for the people who stayed, helped, understood and grew alongside us.

Hoping for a gentler September. 🌿

About 10 days after Momo’s castration, Momo developed swelling and bruising around his sc***um and lower abdomen.

At first, we thought it could be a hematoma - basically, blood collecting under the skin, which can happen after surgery.

However, Momo was also vomiting at home, and the swelling and bruising were getting worse. So we decided to investigate further.

It turned out that Momo had a weak area in the muscles around his groin, causing inguinal hernia that had progressed into a scrotal hernia. In simple terms, part of Momo’s intestine had slipped through a weak opening in the groin and travelled down into his sc***um.

During surgery, the intestine didn’t look very healthy, but thankfully it was still alive and had blood supply.

⚠️ Any further delay could have caused the intestine to lose its blood supply and die, which would have been a life-threatening emergency.

Thankfully, it was caught in time. The intestine was returned to its normal position and the hernia was repaired.

Momo has now recovered well and is back to his happy, normal self. ❤️🐶

📌 This is a good reminder that while some swelling after surgery can be normal, swelling that gets bigger, worse, or is accompanied by other signs should always be checked.
