It is a great honour to attend the 2nd Small Animal Specialty Congress in Shenzhen🇨🇳

Despite the unexpected challenges brought by the typhoon and the hassle of last-minute flight rescheduling, I'm truly grateful to have arrived safely✈️🛫

The opportunity to learn from renowned specialists, exchange ideas with fellow veterinary professionals, and gain new perspectives that can further improve the care we provide to our patients is truly priceless🙏

I'm also grateful for the opportunity to visit one of the largest veterinary referral centres in Shenzhen, with a strong focus on neurosurgery. It was inspiring to witness the level of expertise, advanced facilities, and unwavering dedication to delivering the highest standard of patient care. 👍

Every journey comes with its challenges, but opportunities to learn, grow, and broaden our perspectives always make them worthwhile. Here's to continuous learning and striving for excellence in veterinary medicine😍😍😍

Another fulfilling 12 hours conference today!
The day was packed with valuable insights from a Japanese specialist on the latest Gastrointestinal (GI) Guidelines. I really enjoyed how he simplified complex concepts into practical, key takeaways that we can apply in our daily practice. Beyond the science, his wealth of clinical experience made every session even more meaningful🙏

Today also marked the pre-launch of the Malaysian GI Guideline, developed by a panel of advisors from MSAvA with the generous support of Royal Canin. 🤗 It's encouraging to see another small but meaningful step towards increasing awareness and promoting a more standardized approach to gastrointestinal care among veterinary practitioners😍

To wrap up the day, we switched from lectures to celebrations! ⚽The FIFA World Cup theme, live band, and great company created an incredible atmosphere. It was the perfect ending to a productive day of learning, networking, and having fun🎉🎉🎉

**Vet2Vet 2026 – Back to School **

Who says going back to school has to be boring? 😆
From 9.30am to 9.30pm, we were back in "class"—except this time, nobody checked our homework and everyone actually wanted to be there! 🤣

The day kicked off with solid technical sessions to refresh our veterinary knowledge, followed by business sessions that reminded us running a clinic sometimes feels even harder than treating patients. 😅

And just when everyone thought our brains had reached maximum capacity, the evening Prom Night proved that veterinarians don't just know how to diagnose and operate—we also know how to dress up, laugh, dance, and have an amazing time together. 💃🕺
Twelve hours of learning, networking, catching up with old friends, making new ones, and somehow still having enough energy to celebrate until the end🐶🐱

Huge congratulations to the organiser for turning what could have been "just another conference" into an event we'll be talking about long after graduation from this one-day school. See you all at the next class! 👏🎉

Today, our team had the privilege of participating in an in-house training session covering some of the latest therapeutic options from Zoetis, including Cytopoint®, Apoquel®, Convenia®, and Simparica Trio®.

Veterinary medicine is constantly evolving, and staying up to date with new medications, evidence-based treatment strategies, and practical clinical applications enables us to provide safer, more effective, and more individualized care for every patient.

At our clinic, we believe that investing in continuous professional education is one of the most important investments we can make—for our veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and ultimately, the pets and families who place their trust in us.

Today, we participated in the engagement session organised by the Ministry of Health Malaysia and the Penang State Health Department on the Atomic Energy Act 1984 (Amendment 2025) and the Radiation Protection Officer Certification Programme.

As a veterinary healthcare provider, we recognise the importance of staying up to date with evolving industry regulations and best practices, particularly in areas involving diagnostic imaging and radiation safety. Continuous learning and compliance are essential to protecting our patients, clients, and team members while maintaining the highest professional standards.
