A well behaved dog trained for Companion Paws Canada, from street dog to a loving home with a job!

17/09/2026

Since our last post announcing our exciting new project, we've already heard from people who have an older dog they don't know where else to turn with.

We wish we could say yes.

But Tail End isn't open yet. We're still building the place these dogs will one day call home.

And honestly, hearing from people who need us already makes the work we're doing feel even more important.

There are senior dogs out there who need somewhere safe to land. We're building that place.

Follow along as we construct it — or better yet, help us! Your support can make this dream a reality.😀

In Adoption only for those who knowthe breed.

🐾 Meet Güero! 🐾

Age: 3 years old
Training: Currently in training

Güero is a fun-loving, affectionate boy with a fantastic personality! ❤️ He absolutely loves playing ball, spending time with his people, and when playtime is over, he’s more than happy to settle in for some cuddles.

He has lots of energy and enthusiasm, but the good news is that a good play session tires him out pretty quickly! 🎾🐶

Güero is wonderful with people and older children. He would be happiest as the only pet in the home, with no other dogs or cats, where he can soak up all the love and attention for himself.

If you’re looking for an active, playful companion who also knows how to enjoy a great cuddle, Güero may be your perfect match! 💙

🐾 ¡Conoce a Güero! 🐾

There’s something beautiful about seeing old Teddy resting peacefully on a soft bed. ❤️🐾

No worries. No cold streets. No wondering where his next meal will come from. Just comfort, safety, and the quiet knowledge that he is loved.

This is what Tail End is all about—giving old dogs the ending they always deserved. 🐶❤️

One day, every one of us will reach the tail end of our lives.

That simple truth changed everything for me.

This isn’t just my story. It’s the story of the dogs the world forgot… and the promise I made that they would never spend the last chapter of their lives alone.

If you’ll give me just five minutes, I’ll show you why Tail End Sanctuary exists—and why every life, no matter how old, how broken, or how forgotten, still deserves to be loved.

If this story touches your heart, please share it. Together, we can give more senior and forgotten dogs the ending they deserve.

A heartfelt thank you to Alicia Knox for her beautiful collaboration in bringing this story to life. Your talent and compassion helped tell a story that words alone never could.
