On Sunday, Guapa was left tied up at our gate in the unbearable heat. Who in their right mind thinks this is okay? No call, no heads-up—just left her tied up. Thankfully, a friend of the person who dumped her called to ask how she was doing. That was how we found out she had been out there for an hour 🤬🤬🤬
​The story? Her owner moved away, left her with friends, and then decided she didn't want her anymore. The friends didn't want her either... but of course, we’re told "they loved her so much." Right.
​Guapa is a senior, and finding a home for another large older dog is going to be incredibly difficult. She will probably end up living out the rest of her life here at the ranch. We just can't keep doing this. 💔💔💔
​Despite what she’s been through, Guapa is wonderful. She’s great in the car and gets along well with other dogs. If there is a hell, I hope there’s a special place in it for people who abandon their senior dogs.
​Please consider adopting Guapa or one of the other sweet older dogs here at the ranch. If you can't adopt, please share her story.

El domingo dejaron a Guapa amarrada en la entrada al rancho. Que persona cree que esto está bien? Sin una llamada, sin avisar... simplemente la dejaron amarrada en el caloron. Afortunadamente, un amigo de la persona que la abandonó llamó para ver cómo estaba, y easi nos enteramos que tenia una hora ahi. 🤬🤬🤬
​¿La historia? Su dueña se mudó, se la dejó a unos amigos y luego dijo que ya no la quería. Los amigos tampoco la querían... ah, pero claro, nos dijeron que "la querían muchísimo". Sí, cómo no. ​Guapa es una perra viejita y va a ser muy difícil que la adopten. Es otra perra grande que probablemente terminará viviendo el resto de su vida aquí en el rancho. De verdad ya no podemos seguir así. 💔💔💔
​A pesar de todo lo que ha pasado, Guapa es linda. Se porta súper bien en el carro y se lleva muy bien con otros perros. Si existe el in****no, espero que haya un lugar muy especial para la gente que abandona a sus perros viejitos.
​Por favor, considera adoptar a Guapa o a uno de los otros perros mayores del rancho. Si no puedes adoptar, ayúdanos compartiendo su historia.

We were tagged in a post about two puppies that were dumped outside a park. The person who posted said he had seen them there the night before. It was midday and extremely hot when we finally got to them—one was already unresponsive and passed away at the clinic, and the other didn't make it through the night.
​They had Parvo, and someone made the choice to dump them in over 100-degree weather.
​Yes, Parvo is expensive to treat and there are no guarantees they will survive, but dumping them should never be an option. We really have an uphill battle to change the mindset that animals are disposable. Please, if you can't afford vet care, don't get pets. I am angry and sad, but the truth is that the people who do this aren't always evil. A lot of times they just feel like they have no way out—they can't afford vet care, some clinics won't euthanize, and they panic. There are so many factors behind a horrible decision like this. and yes some people are just playing evil. Though yes, some people are just plain evil.

​To those of you who truly understand what being a pet owner means: please try to help us create awareness with empathy and tolerance. I know it's incredibly difficult, but it's the only way we can actually change people's mindsets.

​Rest easy, sweet babies❤️💔🐾

​Nos etiquetaron en un post sobre dos cachorros abandonados afuera de un parque. La persona que publicó dijo que los había visto la noche anterior. Fue despues de mediodía y estaba extremadamente caluroso cuando llegamos; uno ya no respondía y falleció en la clínica, y el otro no lo logró pasar la noche. Tenían parvo, y alguien tomó la decisión de dejarlos en un clima de casi 40°.
Sí el parvo es caro de tratar y no hay garantías de que sobrevivan, pero abandonarlos a su suerte nunca debería ser una opción. Realmente tenemos una batalla cuesta arriba para cambiar la mentalidad de que los animales son desechables. Por favor, si no puedes pagar el cuidado del veterinario, no tengas mascotas.
Estoy enojada y triste, pero la verdad es que las personas que hacen esto no siempre son malas. Muchas veces sienten que no tienen salida: no pueden pagar la atención al veterinario, algunas clínicas no quieren haver a eutanasia y las personas entran en pánico. Hay tantos factores detrás de una decisión horrible como esta y si tambuen algunas personas no tienen corazón.

Para aquellos de ustedes que realmente entienden lo que significa ser dueño de una mascota: por favor traten de ayudarnos a crear conciencia con empatía y tolerancia. Sé que es increíblemente difícil, pero es la única forma en que podemos cambiar la mentalidad de las personas.

So you say you love your dog and she's incredible, and you love her so much, because she saved your kids from a big dog yet this is how you keep her💔💔💔 Allowed her to have a bunch of puppies and oh she has tvt and you have the audacity to send her with a long letter telling us how much she means to you🤬🤬 Pistasha it's an older dog who is scared and needs a foster so we can save her, she needs to be in a place where she's not in touch with other dogs while she gets her chemotherapy. I really don't want to have to make the decision to euthanize her, can you help her? She deserves so much more than what her so called family gave her.

Así que dices que amas a tu perra y es increíble, y la quieres mucho, porque ella salvó a tus hijos de un perro grande, pero así es como la tienes viviendo.💔💔💔 La.dejaste tener un montón de cachorros y ahora tiene tvt y tienes la poca verguenza de enviarla con una larga carta diciéndonos lo mucho que significa para ti.🤬🤬 Pistasha es una perra mayor que está asustada y necesita un hogar temporal para que podamos salvarla, ella necesita estar en un lugar donde no esté en contacto con otros perros mientras recibe quimioterapia. Realmente no quiero tener que tomar la decisión de sacrificarla, ¿puedes ayudarla? Ella se merece mucho más de lo que su supuesta familia le dio.

Christy made it to her new home in Canada. Thank you Chanelle Kelly for being her flight Angel and Kris Baja for all her help and Kim Salceda and Donna Gonser for doing the airport run for us. Thank you Trinidad Arreola for rescuing her from a life of abuse and bringing her to us. Happy tails sweet girl❤️🐾

Christy llegó a su nuevo hogar en Canada. Gracias Chanelle por ser su Angel de vuelo y Kris por toda su ayuda y a Kim y Donna por llevarla al aeropuerto. Gracias Trinidad por rescatarla de una vida de abuso y entregarnosla. Feliz vida hermosa❤️🐾

July was an incredible month for PET Los Cabos! 🐾❤️
838 spay/neuter surgeries in July, bringing our 2026 year-to-date total to 4,167 already surpassing our annual goal of 3,500 surgeries!
While this is definitely worth celebrating, it also means we are well over budget, and we need your help to keep this life-saving program going.
For just $35 USD, you can sponsor one spay/neuter surgery and help prevent the suffering of countless unwanted dogs and cats. Every surgery helps break the cycle of overpopulation, neglect, and animal abuse.

Moon is living her best life in Vancouver. We are so grateful that she now has the life she deserves along with a little sister who was also adopted through us. She has been through so much and after several surgeries she has one eye and three legs, but that does not stop her❤️🐾 Thank you Kris Baja Jocelyn Lohbrunner Kathy Corbett Johnson Amber Johnson Wimberly , Pawssport Home, her flight Angel and Crovet Hospital Veterinario for being a part of her journey. Moon está viviendo su mejor vida en Vancouver. Estamos muy agradecidos de que ahora tenga la vida que se merece junto con una hermana pequeña que también fue adoptada a través de nosotros.
