Breaking News:

Today they took the lead rope off.

I was officially trusted to ride the trail like a big horse.

At first, I did great.

Then I remembered I was still a baby.

I cut Kalypso off... Tried to nibble her legs... Ignored everyone's personal space...

Apparently "trail etiquette" is something I'm still learning.

Don't worry... I finished the ride like a very good boy.

Progress, not perfection. ❤️

Flynn is finding his groove. 💛

When we first began exploring Reiki with horses, we had no idea which horses would be drawn to it.

Flynn has surprised us.

Session after session, he chooses to come over, stand quietly, and remain with the person receiving Reiki. In this session, he stayed present for a long time, and in the video you'll notice him licking and chewing. Many horse people interpret this as a sign that a horse is processing or releasing tension, although we can never know exactly what they're experiencing.

What we do know is that Flynn isn't asked to participate. He always has a choice.
Watching him discover his own way of being present has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. And yes, Kalypso is proving to be pretty amazing too. ❤️🐴

We're still learning, still experimenting, and feeling grateful for every horse and every person who's helping us discover what this experience can become.

I think the new roommate situation is working out pretty well. ❤️
Regalo and Capitán are sharing a corral now, and this morning I caught them wrestling and then Uncle Capi giving Regalo a little grooming session.
Ever since Regalo started being ponied from Capi on the trails, these two have become quite the team.
I think Regalo has definitely found his favorite uncle. 🥹🐴

More than a Reiki session.

Imagine receiving Reiki beneath the shade of a mesquite tree, with horses free to join the experience if they choose. Every session is a little different, and we're learning something new each time.

This is just the beginning, and it's already feeling pretty special. 💛

Yesterday we finally got Tanya back after a month away visiting Canada. We missed her!
The green season is one of my favorite times of year here. Wildflowers are blooming, the countryside is lush, and there's no better way to experience it than from the back of a horse.
