Two forgotten souls.
One chance at a new beginning. 🫏❤️

In the past days, we were asked to help two donkeys from our region in desperate need.

The first is a male donkey from Talambote who is suffering from what appears to be a severely injured — possibly broken — back leg. He struggles to walk, is clearly in pain, and can no longer continue the hard life he has endured. Thankfully, his owner has agreed to surrender him so he can finally receive the help he needs.

The second is a tiny female donkey who was cruelly abandoned in the middle of Chefchaouen. She is severely neglected, covered in parasites, and suffering from multiple skin infections. Despite everything she has endured, she remains gentle and vulnerable.

We are incredibly grateful that we managed to arrange transport for both donkeys to an amazing sanctuary in the south: — a place with experience, compassion, and the ability to give them the care they deserve.

Before the long journey, we will make sure both are fed, hydrated, and as comfortable as possible for the long trip ahead.

Please keep your fingers crossed for these two beautiful souls. We truly hope this marks the beginning of a long life filled with kindness, safety, and the care they have never known before. ❤️

We would like to convert our rescue bus! 🚍 🐕

As you know, thanks to your incredible support, we were able to purchase a new – and urgently needed – rescue vehicle a few months ago.

Now, the next step is to adapt the bus so it can be used safely and efficiently for veterinary trips and rescue missions.

We plan to install a non-slip, easy-to-clean floor to ensure hygiene and safety. The interior sides will be fully covered, so they can be properly cleaned and no dirt or bacteria can accumulate in hidden gaps.

The ceiling will also be insulated to reduce heat inside the vehicle, which is especially important during the hot months.

In addition, we would like to install an original rear window in the back to allow proper airflow, as the vehicle does not have air conditioning. Fresh air is essential, especially for dogs in stressful situations.

We also need a strong partition grid to divide the back area into two sections. This will make transport to the vet much safer and more manageable for both the dogs and us.

To all of this we would like to add our Logo to the Bus so people know who we are ☺️.

The total cost for all of this is approximately €900, and we truly hope you can help us make this possible. It will be done by a garage in Tetouan.

Every single cent brings us closer to making rescue missions and vet trips safer, calmer, and less stressful for the dogs who already have been through so much.

Suki was brought to me just over two weeks ago.
She survived distemper on the streets – something most dogs don’t make it through. She’s healed but it left its mark.

She now lives with severe neurological damage… what we call a distemper tick.

The bad news is that her distemper tick is very severe.
But the good news is - there is still hope.

I just want to give you a little glimpse into the physiotherapy I’m doing with Suki every single day, helping her slowly regain strength. Maybe not everything you see in this video makes perfect sense to you - but trust me, these are regular exercises to help stimulate her nervous system again and she really does enjoy them.

Her back legs may be paralyzed now, but they’re not completely gone. She can improve with time.
She still has reflexes… which means the nerves aren’t fully destroyed.

And every day, she learns a little more.

Suki is getting high-quality recovery food and a lot of supplements to support her body.
Of course, she has lost a lot of muscle, which makes her look very fragile right now… but that can all come back.

She follows me with her eyes, fully aware.
She reacts with joy… and even wags her tail when she sees me or when I play with her. Her brain is still processing information and that is getting more and more each day.

I’ve seen so many dogs with distemper damage recover far better than anyone expected.
And I will do everything I can to make sure Suki gets that same chance.♥️
