🐾 Is Skye the oldest cat in Marrakech?

We caught Skye during our routine TNR trapping in July. She looked rough, but was incredibly sweet and friendly.
It turns out she’s a senior girl - we don’t know exactly how old, but she’s clearly had a tough life on the streets. Finding an elderly street cat in Marrakech is incredibly rare. ❤️

Paola and team at Pan Marrakech decided to keep Skye permanently, giving her the safe and peaceful life she deserves. 🥹 We’ll be sponsoring her routine vaccinations and we’re so grateful to PAN for taking such good care of this old lady.

Sometimes TNR leads us to a cat who needs more than just neutering. Skye was one of those cats.

A very overdue update from our July mission… 🐾 We completely forgot to share this one!

Our TNR cats have now all been safely returned to their territories after recovering from their operations. They were given time to rest and recover before being released back to the places they know and call home.

Thank you to Pan Marrakech for boarding the cats and getting them safely back to their territories. 🙏

We’re hoping to see some familiar faces again when we return in October - healthy, happy and still ruling their territories! 🐈‍⬛🐈

Every TNR cat returned means one less litter born on the streets. This is why we keep going. ❤️

Do you have experience with grant research or writing grant applications and want to use your skills to help save more cats?

We’re looking for a passionate volunteer to join our small team of two. This is a fully remote role requiring around 2 hours per week.

Your support will help us:
✨ Find suitable grants and funding opportunities
✨ Prepare applications to help us grow our work
✨ Reach more cats who need rescue, veterinary care, and support

By joining us, you won’t just be volunteering, you’ll be helping build something that directly changes and saves lives.

My dad is currently building a family home (with his own hands!) in the Polish mountains. This morning, he sent us a video of a little mouse getting stuck in the deep hole ready for the sanitary tank. Most people wouldn’t think much of it, but he stopped the work and is waiting for the mouse to get out via the makeshift bridge.

Vermin to most, little lives to us.

THIS is compassion and empathy. Not grand gestures, but small, everyday actions. 💕

Our OG baby, Mouse 🐭🥺

The love I have for this boy is insane. It’s like I never knew you could love like this, you know? 💕 He just potters around the house, sits on command, goes for his little daily walks and brings us SO MUCH joy every single day.

Today was his turn to have a check up and he is a definition of health, despite his chunkiness 😉 He has actually lost a little weight (walks way more in the warmer months!) and is now officially under 7kg.

Teeth great, heart great, weight great (for his size) and overall, just a healthy, happy boy!

Next appointment in 6 months ✅

Missy update 🥰

Today, we took her for her final check up post dental surgery and all is well! Missy has also put on some more weight and is now a healthy 3.7kg (up from 2.8…).

She was finally cleared to have her full vaccinations and will be back for her booster in 4 weeks, after which, she will be officially discharged from vet care unless necessary 🫶 We will of course book her in for a check up every 6 months, as we do with Mouse and Minnie.

What a long, long journey for this little lady, but we finally made it to the end of it and she can now have her happy ever after. 💕

The final part of January’s mission captured on film 💕

We never bring the big camera with us, as we have limited luggage, but I must admit, it’s super special having those photos. It makes me so emotional seeing all of our Moroccan best friends (AKA all of the kitties) and knowing, that they’re there waiting for us to return.

Morocco has a special place in our heart and despite all the terrible things that have happened there, we have also witnessed kindness, have received enough blessings to last us a lifetime and shared some very special moments.

We can’t wait to return in October. Not long now! 🐈‍⬛🐈 If you want to support us, our fundraiser is linked in the bio.
