To our dearest Bracken — it's time to rest now 🕊️
🙏🌈 So far we have reached £87.02 raised so far of the £445 needed🙏£357.98 needed 🌈

Some dogs don't need a long journey they just need a soft loving place to land. That's what Bracken found with his wonderful family. When his original pawrents passed away and he found himself in kennels with his brither Sonny, both confused and grieving, they didn't know what was waiting for them. They came to us for palliative / long-term foster, just somewhere warm to rest. But love has a way of finding you and his foster family fell completely, hopelessly in love. They took them BOTH on, they became theirs, and they became their forever.

At 14, his beautiful heart is still strong, but his old body is tired. He struggles to stand, his legs ache, and we know in our hearts that his kind, gentle soul is ready to be free. His family want him to leave this world exactly how he lived his final days, at home, safe, warm. Wrapped and held in love. They also would like his ashes back, as they did with Sonny and Larry so he never truly leaves them.

We're reaching out to our wonderful community and followers, some that have become friends, to ask if you can help us give Bracken the peaceful, dignified goodbye he deserves. The amount to be raised is £445. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help cover his gentle farewell and bring him home to his family one last time.

Owners with a Certificate of Exemption for an XL Bully dog can apply to withdraw it if they no longer believe it’s an XL Bully.

For those that understandably exempt their dog even though they didn’t hit criteria for being an xl bully, you can now apply for DE exemption.

It is so important to note that if you are not 100% confident you must not apply. There is no option to re-exempt & you do risk the seizure of your dog if authorities believe they meet the criteria.

This is wonderful news for many dog owners, I’m sure most of you are with us in believing the ban be overturned & instead owners licensed & policed, but that’s unlikely. We have to take it as a positive step.

Please read the article carefully & check the gov website for xl bully type criteria to cross check your dog.

Hi everyone 👋

We have been contacted by a family who are facing difficult times.

We need a foster ONLY home for this sweet boy
He will be going back home where he belongs in due course so this is a foster appeal.

⭐ 2 year old SBT
⭐ Good with other dogs but has never lived with one so pet free/ not cat tested
⭐ Thoroughly assessed round children & is a dream, but he is abit bouncy & excitable at times so 8+ only
⭐ knows all the basic commands
⭐ can be left for short periods, he’s used to someone being around most of the time, no seperation anxiety.

At long last🥹. The one that broke us all, Renee, has finally had an incredible foster offer from a wonderful couple who are experienced with dogs with trauma based backgrounds.

She will take a lot of love & trust, but if anybody can do it, this wonderful couple can. We are overjoyed she has been given a lifeline as she was starting to shut down again in kennels. We don’t kennel dogs unless emergencies, which her & Baloo were but sadly she has stayed far longer than we anticipated.

She may never be a “normal dog” after all she’s been through however, dogs are such forgiving resilient beings in the correct environment.

Kennel bills crippled us & we also provide raw food for both Renee & Baloo whilst they were in kennels, & big dogs eat big meals😃

To transport Renee to her foster home, we need to raise fuel 🙏. Renee has to be transported by a team member who she trusts most, this is paramount for safety but also her wellbeing.

We need to raise £75 for fuel to get her to her foster home.

We also need to raise money for her food! We cover all our fosters food & our dogs are on raw & thriving.

She eats 1.5kg per day, at £4 a day this is split into 2 meals.

If you can spare £2 to donate breakfast or dinner for our beautiful Ren, we & she would be eternally grateful!

Here at Lola’s Legacy, we truly believe in second chances. ❤️
Remember Talulah? Her story is one that will stay with us forever.
Through no fault of her own, Talulah was almost left without a future after another rescue made the unbelievable suggestion that she should be seized and examined by a DLO before they would help her. Understandably, this never happened. She wasn’t typed, the rescue then went completely radio silent, and suddenly Talulah’s life was left hanging in the balance — with no owner and nowhere to turn.
Thankfully, one incredible lady refused to give up on her. She fought tooth and nail for Talulah, reached out to us, and we didn’t hesitate. We got this beautiful girl safely into our care. ❤️
But Talulah still had another battle ahead. She had a mast cell tumour that needed removing as soon as possible, so that’s exactly what we did.
And then came the part we had all been waiting for…
Her forever family. 🥹
They drove hours and hours to bring Talulah home, because when you know, you know. And after everything this beautiful girl had been through, she finally had what she had always deserved — a safe place, a loving family, and a future.
And that’s it.
That’s Talulah’s happy ever after. ❤️
From being left in limbo, to being fought for, saved, healed and finally loved beyond measure.
This is why we do what we do. Because sometimes, all they need is for someone to say, “I’m not giving up on you.” 🐾❤️
