🚨 WAIT. STOP SCROLLING. 🚨

Something about this kitten is… NOT NORMAL. 👀🐱

At first glance, everything looks perfectly ordinary…

Until you COUNT THE EARS. 👂👂👂

YES.
THREE. EARS. 😳

Meet one of the most unusual little patients we’ve ever seen at Turquoise Veterinary Clinic 💙🐾

A rare congenital surprise — and honestly, we’re completely obsessed with this little three-eared superstar. ⭐️

👀 Did YOU spot the third ear immediately?

Tell us honestly:
1️⃣ I saw it instantly
2️⃣ I had to count twice
3️⃣ I STILL CAN’T SEE IT 😂

🦷 Sometimes, the problem is hiding underneath.
This rescue cat came to us with severe gingivitis and no visible teeth on one side of the mouth. At first glance, it looked like there were simply no teeth there…
But a dental X-ray told a different story. 🩻
Hidden underneath the gums were retained tooth roots — a painful problem that can keep inflammation going even when the teeth themselves are no longer visible.
We surgically removed the remaining roots, giving this little rescue a much healthier and more comfortable mouth. ❤️🐱
And there was another part of this cat’s story: testing revealed that he was FIV positive.
Being FIV positive does not mean a cat cannot have a happy, comfortable life. With proper care, monitoring, and a loving home, FIV-positive cats can still thrive. 💙
✨ The lesson?
If there are missing teeth, chronic gingivitis, or unexplained oral pain, don’t assume the teeth are simply gone.
Dental X-rays can reveal what the eye cannot. 🦷🩻

🐾 Veterinary Medicine in Jordan: Then vs. Now 🇯🇴
📼 The 80s:
A stethoscope, thermometer, a few syringes… and a LOT of experience 😂

🩺 Today:
Blood work 🧪
Digital X-rays 📸
Ultrasound 🔊
Inhalation anesthesia 😴
Dental X-rays 🦷
Advanced surgery 🏥
And yes… cats who have their own medical records thicker than ours. 😂🐈
🎓 Fun fact: Veterinary education in Jordan started in 1985 at JUST. Meanwhile, the world’s first veterinary school was established in Lyon, France, in 1761 — more than 220 years before Jordan’s first veterinary faculty.
From treating livestock and working animals…
to advanced medicine for our beloved dogs and cats ❤️
Same mission. Different equipment.
Same love for animals. 🐾

🐱✨ KITTY MAKEOVER — Why do it all separately?
If your cat needs more than one procedure, we can often combine the necessary treatments into one anesthetic session — less stress for your cat, fewer visits, and one complete makeover! 💙
For our handsome Shere Khan, his kitty makeover included: 👁️ Eye enucleation
🦷 Dental treatment & tooth extraction
✂️ Castration
All done during the same anesthesia, with inhalation anesthesia and close monitoring. 🫶🏻
So when your kitty needs a little more than just a haircut… ask us about a KITTY MAKEOVER! 😻✨
One visit. Multiple needs. A happier, healthier kitty. 🐾💙
