Available: after thornwood whips, this one is made of holly.
For the handle of this whip, I used faux ivory (real ivory is prohibited). This is the type used in museum restorations; it has a splendid color and grain and is very comfortable to hold.
The ferrule is made of solid yellow brass, polished to a mirror finish.
The stick is made of genuine holly wood, sourced from the Alps. When plants grow in difficult soils, they produce better wood.
After a long seasoning process, it was colored and treated with thung oil, then finished with shellac.
The thong, as always, is made of kangaroo leather, woven according to ancient methods using classic materials, quills, etc., as described in old posts.
It has a perfect curve, possible only with ancient techniques.
Making my whips from raw materials requires numerous steps and many hours of work. For this reason, they are not commercial objects, but unique pieces made to last over time.
