⚠️LONG PROUD POST ALERT ⚠️
What a fabulous day some of the Mischran gang had at the Borzoi Championship Show! 🐾❤️
Such a lovely atmosphere, wonderful company and, naturally, we spent waaaaay too much money on Borzoi treasure… because apparently we don’t already own enough Borzoi things! 😂
We were absolutely delighted with the lovely comments from our judge, Beatrix Maerki Casanova.
🏆 Luther – 1st Veteran Dog and Reserve in Open Dog, with lovely comments about his wonderful condition and beautiful head.
🥉 Brava – 3rd Post Graduate Bitch. The judge loved her colour and commented that she was her winner… until she moved. 😂 Let's just say skippy, skippy, VELCRO! Maybe next time, Brava! 🤦♀️🤣
🥈🥉 Frankie – 2nd Graduate Bitch and 3rd Limit Bitch.
But one of our favourite moments of the whole day came in the Eileen Garratt Memorial Stakes. ❤️
Luther went into the ring with Rhiannon Hall's 11-year-old grandson, who had never shown a dog before, never handled a Borzoi before and had certainly never stepped into the show ring!
Luther did exactly what we know Mischran hounds can do – he was gentle, patient and completely bombproof, showing his young handler the ropes. And what a natural he was!
Together they were placed Reserve under judge James Kelly. 🥹🏆
Seeing that young lad's face light up with pride and excitement absolutely made our day. Moments like that are worth more than any rosette. ❤️
Then it was time for Binks and his kids, who went into the Brace and Progeny classes and were placed 1st in BOTH! 🏆🏆
Once again, the judge commented on the beautiful heads of our dogs – and we'll allow ourselves a little bit of kennel pride here…
You can spot a MISCHRAN head a mile off! 😉❤️
And we couldn't finish without mentioning the fabulous results from the rest of the Mischran family, owned and loved by their wonderful families:
❤️Bryn, owned and loved by Liz, Nigel & Andrew Dawson – VHC Open Dog. I think the judge wanted to take him home!
🥈 Miika, owned and loved by Ros Ford – 2nd Limit Dog.
🥈 Briar, owned and loved by Karen Webb – 2nd Novice Bitch.
🏆 Wren, owned and loved by Karen Webb – 1st Limit Bitch.
🥉 Cali, owned and loved by Karen Webb – 3rd Open Bitch.
❤️ Wren & Cali also took VHC in the Brace class together.
We love seeing the Mischran family out there doing us proud, but most importantly being loved and enjoyed by their families. ❤️
A fabulous day, fabulous atmosphere and lots of laughs with our hounds, friends and extended Mischran family.
Very proud of every single one of them. 🐾❤️
