🔥 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐖𝐃𝐒𝐅 𝐖𝐂𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔! 🔥

We know....everybody was waiting for a long time for this information: the competition venue of the WDSF World Championship 2026 - Slovenia.
And finally today, we are able to share it!

The competition will be held on the wonderful fields of 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐳̌, 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐣𝐞, a perfect professional location for our four sports.

It is situated in a green area, where you can enjoy the walks with your dog. There are also lots of hotels and houses in just a few minutes from the competition fields, were you and your dog are welcome.

🔥 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐖𝐃𝐒𝐅 𝐖𝐂𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 🔥

Finally, today we can announce the long-awaited news!

The WDSF World Championship 2026 will be held from 𝟏𝟖–𝟐𝟎 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 and will bring together the four WDSF disciplines: Agility, IGP, Mondioring, and Obedience.

Please note an important update regarding the location: the World Championship will no longer take place in Nova Gorica, but will instead be hosted in the beautiful city of 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐨𝐫, Slovenia.

𝗪𝗗𝗦𝗙 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Dear Sport Friends,

We are pleased to share an update regarding the WDSF World Championship 2026.
As you may recall, we previously informed you that it might be necessary to separate the sports, since no member club had the capacity to host all four disciplines at one event in 2026. We knew that was not an ideal solution — but we are happy to say that has now changed.

Thanks to our open communication, the WDSF member club of Slovenia has stepped forward with an excellent proposal. We extend our sincere appreciation to Anja Brunec and her team for their initiative and dedication!

All four sports — Agility, Mondio, IGP and Obedience — will be hosted at the beautiful Nova Gorica stadium, a venue well-known for its successful World Championships.

The only challenge is scheduling: due to local and logistical factors, it is not possible to hold the Championship in May, our usual timeframe. Therefore, in agreement with the WDSF membership, the WDSF World Championship 2026 will take place at the end of September / beginning of October 2026.

Please note: because of this later date, WDSF will not be able to send our IGP Champion as a wild card competitor to the FCI IGP World Championship 2026. This exception applies only to the 2026 season.

More information will follow as soon as it becomes available.

We also want to thank Next Level SDC, Cascade S.C., Dallas/Fort Worth Malinois Club (USA – IGP), Nadine Schöfer and team Herderclan Hauptquartier (Germany – Mondioring), and Kim Stacey and her team (The Netherlands – Agility) for their willingness to assist if needed.

We would like to inform you that we are also working with a country to host the WDSF World Championship 2027. Hopefully, we can also add possible hosts for the WDSF World Championships 2028 and 2029 soon.

Together, we continue to strengthen the international Dutch Shepherd community.
