Nopales, or nopalitos, are the young pads of prick pear cactus. They are a staple ingredient of Mexican cousine 🇲🇽 with their tart flavour similar to green beans 🫛.

Cactus season is well behind the schedule this year. Thanks to unusual heavy rains and cold weather, blooming is delayed by more than one month.
This is a good and unexpected situation for us, meaning that dry season will be shorter and plants will have a better shape the coming summer.
