Einfach super lieb geboren! Mist bei ihrem so fünften Ritt 🤷🏼‍♀️ So eine liebe Maus. Diese junge Stute wird das perfekte Freizeitpferd. Sie hat sehr viel leichten und lockeren Tölt, ist super lieb und gelassen, ca. 1,42 m gross und hat eine wunderschöne Farbe. Und sie sucht nun ihren neuen Menschen.

Melrós is shown first prize for confirmation and is measured at 146 cm. AND she is pregnant with Tinni frá Árdal, who is the second highest judged horse in the world with 9.1 total. Tinni has 9.5 for Tölt, rideability and general impression and 10 for neck-withers-shoulders. He is black, 150 tall and incredibly beautiful.

Ever wondered how Icelandic horses leave Iceland? We followed the whole process with Gunnar Arnarson Horse Export The horses are collected around three days before the flight and brought to the export stable in Reykjavík. On departure day, Tóta showed us the morning routine: the vet checks each horse’s microchip, markings and whorls and completes the passport. Each horse also gets an individual number, shaved into its coat and added to the halter for easy identification. After the official MAST veterinarian gives the final clearance, the horses get fed and later Gunnar himself drives them to Keflavík. It really is a hands-on family business from beginning to end. At the cargo terminal the horses are calmly loaded into their flight containers inside a secure paddock. These people do this every week, and it shows. No rushing, no drama. It honestly felt much more like loading for a normal trailer ride than we expected. Then it’s around 3.5 hours in the air to Liège, Belgium.
🇩🇪 Schon mal gefragt, wie Islandpferde eigentlich Island verlassen? Wir haben den ganzen Ablauf bei Gunnar Arnarson Horse Export begleitet. Die Pferde werden etwa drei Tage vor dem Flug abgeholt und in den Exportstall in Reykjavík gebracht. Am Abflugtag hat Tóta uns den Ablauf am Morgen gezeigt: Der Tierarzt kontrolliert bei jedem Pferd Chip, Abzeichen und Wirbel und stellt den Pass fertig. Zusätzlich bekommt jedes Pferd eine eigene Nummer, die ins Fell geschoren und am Halfter angebracht wird.
Nach der finalen Freigabe durch den offiziellen Tierarzt von MAST werden die Pferde gefüttert. Später fährt Gunnar sie selbst nach Keflavík. Ein echter Familienbetrieb, bei dem vom Anfang bis zum Ende alle selbst mit anpacken.
Am Cargo Terminal werden die Pferde in einem gesicherten Paddock ganz ruhig in ihre Flugcontainer verladen. Das Team macht das jede Woche und das merkt man. Keine Hektik, kein Drama. Es fühlte sich tatsächlich viel mehr wie normales Verladen in einen Pferdeanhänger an, als wir erwartet hatten. Dann geht es rund 3,5 Stunden durch die Luft nach Liège in Belgien.

Kjói has arrived on the Faroe Islands. Horses that go there are the only Icelandic horses that are still exported by ship. We wish him and his new family all happiness. They not look absolutely adorable together? 🥰🇩🇪 Kjói ist auf den Färöer-Inseln angekommen. Pferde, die dorthin exportiert werden, sind die einzigen die Pferde aus Island, die noch mit dem Schiff exportiert werden. Wir wünschen ihm und seiner Familie alles Gute und ein glückliches Leben. Sehen die beiden nicht absolut süß zusammen aus?

Checking on Þokki and his last mares last night felt kind of magical 🦄 Þokki is a blue dun W21 stallion after Ellert with excellent pedigree, character and talent and we are excited for his future 🇩🇪 Nach Þokki und seinen Stuten gucken, hat sich gestern Abend richtig magisch angefüllt. Þokki ist ein Mausfalbe W21 Hengst aus Ellert mit hervorragender Abstammung, Charakter und Talent und wir sind total auf seine weitere Entwicklung gespannt.
