I so wish we could do this in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. Instead they collect dogs and dump them at "shelter" where they are left to die. No food, water, or medical care. There is no public spay/neuter program to help the stray dog crisis. They just kill them. We really need some international help.

Another article posted today that is a complete LIE. The Erbil Government has NOT neutered and released 9,000 dogs, instead they have KILLED 9,000 dogs, and the photo in the article is not the government shelter. The citizens of Erbil deserve the truth, not more government propanda. PLEASE spread the word so we can continue to fight for thesr poor dogs.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Erbil, the Capital of kurdistan, Iraq needs your help spaying/neutering their dogs. The government has resorted to removing street dogs and dumping them at a "shelter" where they have no food, water or medical care. They are dying by the thousands!!!!

Yes, and all the dogs end up suffering. We know that THOUSANDS of dogs have died at this "shelter" due to no food, water, or medical care. They are left at this dumping ground to suffer and die. The Government says they have spay/neutered and released 7,000 dogs back to the streets. This is a complete LIE. They have released a few hundred at best. The rest have died.
