Occasionally I do treat small animals at my clinic and most of the times they struggle to hold them properly and I have to explain before treating them..

So I thought it might be helpful for people who have small animals and this could be very effective while vaccinating a large flocks saving lot of time etc.,

Regular vaccination for adults(All breeds and Indies) is necessary in order to prevent such irreversible diseases like canine distemper etc.,

This is an example that canine distemper can occur in any age and symptoms and prognosis varies according to the severity and immunity of the dogs

I have seen many dogs with the twitching and jerking symptoms in dogs and they survive for a long time until they eat and do regular activities normally. Once feeding stops and eventually prognosis becomes poorer or guarded

Millu is one of my oldest cute buddy and he is such a sweetheart whenever I meet him I will always play with him for a while and treat him..He always gets skin issues and this time he has got on his paws and looks like pododermatitis.

Pododermatitis in dogs is inflammation of the paw skin, often seen as excessive licking, redness, swelling, or sores, stemming from many causes like allergies (atopy, food), infections (bacteria, yeast, mites), trauma, or underlying diseases (hormonal, immune-mediated).

Symptoms:
Excessive paw licking or chewing.
Redness, inflammation, swelling between toes or on pads.
Limping or pain when walking.
Sores, pustules, or hair loss on paws.
Reddish-brown staining from saliva.

I always wonder when Chippi or Kanni type of dogs (Not all of them) look emaciated and weak(Esp All ribs will be clearly visible)while I do vaccination or general check up so I deliberately ask the pet parents about their feeding,deworming and supplements etc.,and came to know it’s in growing phase and they follow everything properly. Then I re check them when they reach adult stage, they look much better than in their growing phase..

Disclaimer: I am NOT saying when your dog looks like this it is completely normal and after a year it will look better..

Always stick to the right balanced meal,regular deworming schedule and make sure to check their legs while growing if you feel little disoriented or deviation pls check with your vet and diagnose early and treat them accordingly..

Also, I have seen above 1 year dogs( Be it any breeds )with slightly disoriented legs especially back legs when they visit for consultation and when I ask them they would say it’s like that since they were young and it doesn’t bother my pet at all and they haven’t consulted regarding this issue to their vet at all..

I am sharing my thoughts and if you have seen or have them growing up like this comment below..

Whether it’s a bee or wasp sting, it can become worse than we think within few minutes to an hour if it was more in number and where it was stung 🐝 etc.,

Luckily there was only one we could see and he had following symptoms

1.Sudden noise/ sound
2.Vigorous beating/rubbing the nose area on the ground
3. Vomiting within few minutes
4. Restlessness and fear
5. Swelling around the eyes and little redness on the stung area (above lips)

So within half an hour I rushed to his place and treated and he got back to normal the next day...!

Take away message:
Do not leave it as if it will heal on its own without treating it even when there is mild itching and swelling noticed..

People who rear Rabbits 🐇 mostly know how to do the handling aspect pretty well yet this is one instance where I have to correct them to handle along the way before treating them..

So Cannibalism is quite common in Rabbits after Kindling ( the act of giving birth ) due to various reasons and common causes being stress or survival instincts etc.,

So Next time we have to be careful on such rabbits while kindling coz it keeps doing it again mostly. In such cases It’s better to avoid copulation (the act of mating in rabbits) in the future.

I have seen many pet parents telling me that they have been feeding their pets with whatever they make at home with regular masala’s, oil and other ingredients to their pets as well. Although they seem like they get to adopt to it well initially still it may not be the case all the time except in few scenarios.

Here, Coming back to the owner fed her pet with function prepped food( chicken)which had masala and oil and other ingredients so this sudden diet change might have caused stomach upset to her pet and advised and treated accordingly!

Take away message here is that pets need to have a basic chicken rice or vegetable rice or egg rice or curd rice few times a week as a home made meal to about 30 to 50 percent without having any masala’s and other ingredients we use in our meal preparation and to balance out the protein and other micronutrients they require regular dog food maybe around 50 to 70 percent to have a healthy and good lifestyle!
