WHEN WILDLIFE CROSSES BORDERS.
Wildlife conservation doesn’t always happen just in the forest.
Sometimes, it begins with two institutions working together.
In an inter-zoo animal exchange between Shivamogga Zoo and Patna Zoo, two male Indian gaurs travelled from Karnataka to Bihar.
In return, Shivamogga welcomed Indian grey wolves — along with four gharials.
Different landscapes.
Different species.
One shared purpose.
Behind every transfer is a carefully coordinated process of transport, veterinary care, quarantine and adaptation, ensuring that each animal makes the journey safely.
From the forests of Karnataka to the plains of Bihar, these animals have become part of a story that extends far beyond the boundaries of a single zoo.
Because conservation is not confined by geography.
It connects us all.
