Today we bring to you the story of . Sanchit speaks about the Tech-Transition of his family owned business and how he has been involved in the complete process.
Entrepreneur- Sanchit Narsaria

I am from a "traditional" Marwari business family, so, it goes without saying that I had a zeal towards entrepreneurship since the beginning. I have been fortunate enough to have observed businesses since my childhood.
We are into garments manufacturing. However, my entrepreneurial journey started when I was in the third year of my bachelor's degree. I founded a like-minded travel community startup. I ran it for almost 2 years (including 1 drop year). It didn't succeed but without any doubt, those 2 years gave me my greatest learnings.
Having realized the potential of E-commerce already in 2016, I forced our family garment business to become an online seller on the E-commerce portals. This was my first step towards adopting a modern business approach.
I also founded an apparel brand (wholly designed and developed by us) as part of our business.
Our business was rechristened by me and is now known as Narsaria Group.
I truly believe in the strong foundation, stability, and control in business, and in my current project, I am introducing an effective data analytics system. Imagine this in a "traditional" business where 80% of the current employees do not know to operate a computer, a challenge for me but nevertheless I've accepted it. Overall my two cents would be to be everready to try out new things and accept challenges.

Let us read about her Journey and the amazing job that she has been doing.
Look around! yes, go ahead, do it! So many people around you have tons of things to say and hundreds of stories to share. But do they really have people who will listen to them with utmost attention and without any judgements?
This thought gave birth to my startup, Two Hazy Circles.
At THC, we encourage and enable people to express themselves freely without the fear of being judged.
The journey so far has literally been a rollercoaster ride. With a company that once started with the agenda of promoting face to face conversations with real people is now set to improvise its model due to these unprecedented times. On 29th July, we will be launching all our online course for multiple age groups, still supporting the same cause, which is, 'expression'.
We are currently running one-on-one, hundred percent customised courses for students of age group 12-18 to help them express themselves during these tough times and also to prepare them for the future.
Two Hazy Circles is still a concept that is difficult for a lot of people to understand and that surely does limit our market. But it also brings opportunities for us to explore and bring for people something that they have never seen before, leaving them curious and excited.
Mental Health is one area that is still sadly unexplored in India but that does not discard the need for it. We are working on the first step of having a happy and healthy mind, which is, expressing yourself to people around you. For the same we have started anonymous online meetups for people to share whatever they feel in front of like minded strangers. The response so far has been overwhelming!
These times of Covid19 has taught a very important lesson to all of us which is, only those who can constantly innovative, improvise and adapt are the ones who will survive.

In today's post of we bring to you the story of Vartika Tripathi, Entrepreneur from the batch of 2020, with her unique startup Pawshbox!

Pawshbox was started by two crazy pet-heads who were on a mission to simplify pet-keeping. Vartika and Malhar noticed that pets require the attention of a 2-year-old all their lives. That is when they thought of a concept where the pet owners, who juggle multiple responsibilities, could outsource some of them to PawshBox. PawshBox was conceptualized to provide quality pet keeping solutions, one at a time. Pet supply management is the first responsibility of a pet owner and through Pawshbox, pet owners can schedule their pet supplies from anywhere in India so they never have to run to the store again. Punekars, exclusively, are delivered their orders within 2 hours.
Another key aspect of owning a pet is regular vet check-ups and pet grooming. PawshBox provides that too, through home visits, so your pet gets the care he or she needs in the comfort of their humble abode! Also, pet-keeping consultations are provided to pet owners. They may also worry about the training and exercise of their pets. PawshBox provides such training to pets through their Basic Obedience Training program. Pups are rewarded with certificates for their effort in this training program.

I always wanted to do something of my own... even before the completion of my graduation, I wanted to know various product lines through which I could start a small venture. I landed up interning for a Custom House Clearing Agency which was nearby my college so that I could study and work after college hours. That internship was probably the turning point of my life as it exposed me to various products that are being exported from India. Those learnings helped me to establish a Merchant Exporting firm of my own in Mumbai. Initial few months of 2018 were very challenging in order to find ‘That first customer’ but it finally happened after 7 months of constant persistence. Being a first-generation entrepreneur has its own set of challenges but you learn every day by interacting with different international clients. Joining SIBM Pune that too the Innovation and Entrepreneurship batch has given me an opportunity to create various business connections which is so essential in the modern era. The journey has been very exciting as I am able to pursue MBA along with managing daily business activities!ng

In entrepreneurs of SIBM, today we have sharing his entrepreneurial journey.
In 2015, Amazon India's logistics arm offered my father- a veteran business man & army officer: an opportunity for partnership to take care of their last mile logistics in 30 pincodes of Kolkata. My father tasked me to help him set up and manage the new company- Army Logistics. Now part of the VUCA world & working with the most customer centric company on earth. Rain or Political Strike -meet deadlines and fulfil KPIs. For me it was a trial by fire!

We recruited people with intelligence, were initiators & had integrity- or else the first two didn’t matter. ‘Me’ and Í’ didn't exist in our vocabulary by promoting & training to make ‘Team Work’ a cornerstone of our culture. As entrepreneurs, being approachable for any trouble created a personal bonding and a sense of ownership amongst our employees.

We created a dedicated team to observe, forecast, analyze and advise us in advance to develop concrete and dynamic processes to allocate manpower, design routes, to avoid failures and maintain profitability and highest performance levels w.r.t to KPIs. Thus, we would be called in to deliver for other stations when they failed. We were the pilot station to test and validate feasibility of the incredibly successful ÍHS Programme (I Have Space)-while keeping delivery stations as nodal points and using kirana stores to deliver packages to customers.

In 16 months, we were a team of 100+ Delivery Associates, 35+ backend team and a fleet of 30+ small trucks. We were processing 3500 packages a day. Considering load and area- we were among the top 3 partners amongst 300+ partners in India. During discount season when shoppers went crazy and load spiked to 2.5x times- we could deliver all the packages: using same team size, keeping our costs low & while achieving all the targets.

Meet our Serial Entrepreneur Sai Chandra. “When I was in the Second Year of my Engineering (ECE), my plan was to pursue my Master's abroad. However, in the same year, I decided to start something new of my own. I became a small dealer of a newly established inner wear company but I faced huge losses by the end of my final year of engineering. Well to begin with, I had taken a loan to finance my business but the returns weren't enough to repay the loan and my only way out was to look for another opportunity. In 2017, with the help of a few connections, I set up a wholesale garment factory in Hyderabad. Fortunately that worked out and it changed my career goals and ambition in life. This gave me the push to launch three more businesses in varied sectors. I am grateful that I landed up in SIBM, Pune to do MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship so I can enhance my abilities.
