Dear all,
Hope this finds you well - safe and sound, in these unusual times.
A big thank you to all those who have sent messages inquiring about me as well as The Pet Project. It means a lot to me and I feel grateful to be connected with each one of you ☺️
The Pet Project is as loved an entity for you as for me. As most of you have taken note, TPP's social media handles have been quiet for a while now. Part of the reason being the lockdown and the lack of any activities or workshops in the pipeline.
But there have also been a few significant developments for me, as I gear up for the next phase of my life, in a new country.. These circumstances of course, have been instrumental for the news that I am sharing..
My first news. The Pet Project will be bowing out of the "Animal Assisted Activities" programs and events that we have been conducting so far in association with Pet Sitters. All our clients and associates will still get to enjoy these much loved pet interaction programs and sessions, which will now be conducted by PetSitters under their banner.
At such a time when things are in a transition phase for me, I find my comfort in the fact that I have PetSitters (literally my happy place forever!) to take up doing what has been my heart and soul for the last 4 years.
Having said that, I will be continuing Animal Assisted Therapy /counseling and Animal Assisted Education consultations in whatever way possible in the current scenario. (Online and remotely)
I also commit to stay connected and be available to and for everyone who has been a part of TPP's community and also a part of my journey, which brings me to my second news.
I am happy to announce that The Pet Project will now be an open forum to discuss, unpack and elaborate anything and everything pertaining to the field of "Human Animal Interactions" and "Animal Assisted Therapy, Activities and Education". It will be used as a platform for information sharing - whether educational, recreational or therapeutic for people to have access to at any given point in time.
I also hope to share all about my experiences from the last 4 years as an animal assisted therapist and also all of what the future holds for me!
This is a big change for me and something that I am still grappling with. But as they say, the only way to make sense of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance! 🙂
A big shoutout to you all for all the support you have given me and The Pet Project so far and here's hoping you continue to do so always in our future adventures!
Raising a toast to a new life.. 🥂
Much love..
Ira
